The whole "Primitive Man" album is a pure masterpiece. Maybe one of my Top 5 albums all time. And "Great Southren Land" is my favorite song on it despite "Street Cafe" and "Hey Little Girl".

I have - I did - and I can remember exactly when I first heard this monolith of a song that should be our national anthem! I have never tired of listening to it. Iva Davies is one of Australia’s most iconic music heroes. He deserves far more recognition than he ever got!

What a fantastic Australian song. So many different versions of it, and all of them inspire me and make me feel proud to be Australian. Love the new dub version - inspired. The 2000 version is also a standout with Taikoz finishing it beautifully. Thanks Iva and the band.

@Slipstream0001 Thank God for that! Great for the 3 year period in the early 80's that that gated snare drenched in verb ruled the commerical waves but nice to see a crisp snappy snare within a modern sounding mix. That gated stuff went out with the mullet :)
