I found this channel randomly while looking for bikepacking on KZbin; it is really a channel that produces quality content. Congratulations.

I've seen many videos about what to see on Iceland, this one is the first one that tells how to prepare for Iceland. Thanks!

Super useful video!! Planning my Iceland trip currently - especially useful with the bike bags. Question - were you wearing road or MTB shoes with the Gorewear overshoes?
@arminkorsos8 ай бұрын
MTB! Don't wear road, you need shoes you can walk in. I wore the Fizik shoes I mentioned in the video

I’m planning on getting into bikepacking this year (and am actually considering a short Iceland trip as well) and this was one of the best breakdown vids I’ve come across! I actually watched it all the way through ha

Thank you Monica! Glad you found it helpful. It's one of the most fulfilling ways to see a country, you won't be disappointed by Iceland. Maybe just humbled by the wind and rain...

excellent video! i'm heading to iceland this june and this video is giving me the insane idea to bring my topstone carbon as well instead of my steel mtb.... i'll think about it...😉
@arminkorsos2 жыл бұрын
Both would work depends on where you'll be riding. MTB for sure if your route is mostly highlands as it would be more fun, but a carbon gravel bike if your route is mostly paved road like our trip was. Have a fun and safe trip!

I don't bike pack and have no plans to but this was very entertaining lol. I loved the snoring scene lol. I was also very curious on how you managed power with your camera and other devices so that was very cool to see.

Great video!! so many details, it will def make our packing easier. Do you need to get a permit to fly a drone in Iceland? some sites say: No, you dont and others the opposite. Same with wild camping, it isn't legally allowed. Thanks again
@arminkorsos Жыл бұрын
Wild camping is legal if it's not inside someone's fenced in property. Drone is legal just don't fly in populated areas and over people. We didn't fly near busy waterfalls or canyons. Safe flying!

Expensive to store a bike bag but this is Iceland.
@arminkorsos Жыл бұрын
For two bags for 12 days $160 is not bad at all. A luggage locker at the airport is significantly more.

HI Armin, thanks again for such así amazing video. I can't figure out how to attach the drone controller to the handlebar, when I tried to do it both pieces are the same and dont insert. I have seen the rides of Japan video but I dont know how to connect both adapters. any help please?
@arminkorsos Жыл бұрын
Hi, you need to cut off one of the 3 prongs on the GoPro mount for it to work. Check out his video for a more detailed explanation. It's attached using the GoPro Flat Adhesive mount, Mounting Buckle, and a metal handlebar GoPro mount you can find on Amazon, linked in video description. Hope that Helps.

Look at be free gravity feed system 3 liter one .. just mod the hose with a camelbak mouth piece… that way just replace your bladder and fill with water and you can always have filter water ..the flow is fast

Are the revelate bags 100% waterproof? I've heard they arent so I'm curious if you experienced any water getting in them.
@arminkorsos8 ай бұрын
I only got water in them when it was raining sideways lol... if water is hitting the zipper directly then it probably will leak a little

Nice video! Two quick questions for you. Was your tent enough against the wind and rain ? Looking at similar tent (nemo dragonfly) and it's one of my main concern. Would it be possible yo have an idea of yoir route? At least the gravel part. I was wondering if gravel tires were enough for a lottle bit of Highlands. Thanks!

This looked like a really fun trip! We’re you running regular SS Gravelkings, or plus?

In witch car rental you drop the bags? I’ll go this summer, and I don’t know where to let. Thanks! P.s. it’s great video! Thanks for some tips

We dropped our gear at Geysir car rental. They were great. You'll find them in the KEF airport parking lot, about a 10 minute walk from the exit. Best of luck!
