This video has some Reykjavik Grapevine vibes over it, a channel I came to like during the Covid eruptions. Just stumbled on this . Feels pleasantly familiar, this walking update from Iceland.

I too would like to say how pleased I am to see Josie Anne and Art (not that you ever see Art, of course) again - I really miss those Grapevine newscasts so it's great to have you both back! A thoroughly enjoyable and informative newscast. Thanks again!

Hi Josie, great to see you in a full-length episode of Iceland News Review. You have always been a welcome addition to my information sources about Iceland, from earlier days. Your presentations are a pleasure and for now a credible replacement for Andie Sophia. Looking forward to seeing you again during her sabbatical.

What a pleasant surprise to find Josie and Art on KZbin again. You just need a dog now! I was in Akureyri a couple of weeks ago and on the Friday it was +17 and no snow, When i landed on Saturday at 2pm it was -9 and a foot of snow! It got down to -14 at one point.

Oh wow, it's so good to see you again Josie! The style of the opening shots looked so familiar, and YES! Art's wonderful shots and camera work. How I missed this for the mouths you've been doing this I'll never know. I immediately subscribed. My partner and I met you once at the art museum in Reykjavik some years ago. Looking forward to hearing all the news from Iceland again. The very best to you all.

Lots of interesting news from Iceland. I must say your Icelandic is coming along great! I would never be able to do well with that language! Have you been attending classes? Or just learning as you go? Either way it's working! Good solid reporting content... I think you can honestly say you are now a member of the Icelandic media! 😊

I have lost all my respect for the blue lagoon, they break every safety protocol and rule in the name of money. The company should be taken down.

Aaa, then will see a rise in near death tourism again, especially now with dangers of emissions of gasses and everything... I hear there is a great demand building up in Japan now for risky trips to the Blue Lagoon..

The longer you monitor temperatures the higher/lower extremes you will measure. This is statistics. You just have to be patient and you will measure new extremes. Just a matter of time. Not climate.

right on - great to be back open again is Iceland part of the United Kingdom??
@enendagang29 күн бұрын
It oscillates between that and an American colony
@lindafarnes48628 күн бұрын
It was part of Denmark but became a fully independent republic 1944. I'd have thought it stronger ties with the USA than Britain. The US has military base there I think. However Briain has easy tourist access.

Absolutely amazing to me that people want to move back to a town that is basically like a sponge underneath. There are sink holes and there’s cracks and there’s a lot of danger in that city. People who think that they’re gonna build that town back are idiots. Except the fact that something has woken up after 800 years and you’re not gonna put it back together. The absolute psychotic attitude of keeping the blue lagoon open at all times leads all those people to possibly die. I see Icelandic government or the people don’t care if the tourist die. I wouldn’t visit Iceland if you gave me $2 million to come and take it over. Mainly because of the attitude of the people there. You don’t like tourist except for their money because you don’t mind sending them a place that they could be cooked in a heartbeat. You allow people to come and walk around a porous land where they could fall through the cracks and die and never be found again. I don’t know you just people don’t care about each other. So you you know you’re just an island that mother nature said don’t move to, but you did it anyway so live with it. I said a year ago that you’re gonna lose the blue lagoon to that volcano but then you’re not gonna have any heat. Because you haven’t taken the time to lay down the infrastructure to make sure that you have more than one source for your power.
