Iceland prepares for volcano: BBC News Review

Thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes in Iceland after a state of emergency was declared. Cracks have appeared in roads after a series of earthquakes and there are fears that the Fagradalsfjall volcano will soon erupt. Also "People are frantic out (because) of the fear of imminent incidents". Because "in terms of" cannot be used to express a relation of direct cause. You cannot for example say "I am hungry in terms of not having eaten for two days", or "I am beautiful in terms of being opposite of ugly". But you can say "They see me cute in terms of charm and light" (with subjective reference to).

Your pronunciation of Fagradalsfjali is sublime! Swarm of tourists? - Quite often, here (Ve + humidity, - oxygen), they seem more of a swarm of frantically accelerated zombies. Exchanging tourism for zombism is a clear sign of the impending, when not imminent, cognitive Armageddon.

Vocabulary: * Erupt (v) - to throw out lava (related to volcano) Exp: When did Mount Etna last erupt? Eruption (n) - an occasion when a volcano explores and flames and rocks come out of it. Exp: A volcanic eruption. * Disrupt (v) - to break up or put into a state of disorder. Exp: The traffic was disrupted by floods. 1) Imminent (adj) - about to happen (especially something unpleasant) Exp: an imminent disaster; an imminent attack; an imminent crisis; Cracks appear in roads amid fears of an imminent volcanic eruption. Imminent (adj) - (similar) Impending - something negative about to happen. 2) Swarm (n) - a large group of something such as insects; people (normally bad things) Exp: a swarm of bees/wasps/ants. Iceland declared a state of emergency amid the intense swarm of earthquakes. A swarm of earthquakes is a large number of earthquakes close together that appear in a short space of time. A swarm of tourists appeared at once in our village. A swarm of insects destroys the crops.
