Iceland - Ring Road Roadtrip 11 days September 2023

Beautiful vlog of a beautiful country. Have visited Iceland 🇮🇸 on a number of occasions travelling all over. Love the country ❤ Wanted to ask what was the name of the last Waterfall you posted? Thanks.

It truly is a beautiful country! The last waterfall is Bjarnarfoss (on the snaefellsnes peninsula). It is close to Búðakirkja . The wide blue waterfall is Brúarárfoss. (in the golden circle)

@@LoekJanssen thanks for that. I have seen Bjarnafoss, but never from that drone angle. I walked up the path from the bottom. Loooks amazing from that view.

Hi, love your video! Gave me some ideas for my planned first time trip this year, on the last week of September. But just for about 4.5 days, sadly. What type of vehicle did you drive? A 4 wheel drive? Which are your favourite sights on this trip? Never used a drone myself, just a traditional still camera user, but would you think I would miss out a lot without a drone?

Most sights are easily accessible by car and just a short walk from the car. You do not need a drone.4 days is not a long time. I would focus on The Golden Circle and Vik region. And go out at night, you never know if you will see the northern lights. Have a good trip!

Perhaps a taste before a longer and more comprehensive trip next opportunity :D Oh yes, did you drive a 4 wheel drive car? Did you drive on any F-roads at all? Not sure if I should get a 4 wheel drive car or campervan.

I did have 4 wheel drive. I didn't need it, because I didn't drove on any F-roads.

Great video. We r planning to go in September mid this year. Which week of Sep did you visit? Did you get bad weather/rains? Is it like continous downpour with nothing to do or just a shower here n there?

Expect rain when visiting Iceland in September. When I was there in the last two weeks of September it rained each day, but in short bursts, so just wait a short while and then went for a walk. I did have continuous rain for 2 of the 11 days. Best thing to do on a day like that is go to one of the hotsprings. Have a nice trip!

I've watched tons of Iceland vids and this is one of the best!! I'm tempted to get a drone just for our trip this September (2024)!! It was especially helpful that you included all the names of the falls and sights!! Two questions: Did you end up doing the Westfjords? Did you just do the Ring road on your own or with a tour group?

Thank you for the nice reaction. I didn't have the time to do the Westfjords. But the Ring road is an easy drive, so I drove it by myself. Give yourself enough time to see everything. Sometimes it is too windy to use a drone and in some locations it is not allowed to use a drone.

Thank you for a very nice presentation. I am sure Sept 2024 will be the time of our trip to Iceland. Sept 2023 weather overall looked great; Oct this year was starting to have some Yellow Alerts. How many days did you have to reschedule or skip the sights due to weather? I am thinking 14+ days so that the weather can be accomodated without missing an area. Or just rest in the countryside and see if the Aurora shows itself.

We had continuous rain for 2 of the 11 days. Many places are easy to see with a short walk. So bring rain gear. Unfortunately we didn't have time to stay anywhere longer. Fortunately, we didn't have to skip anything because of the weather. 14+ days should be enough, but you will have to skip the west fjords. Have a good trip!
