I think making a video about common syntax structures in kind of "there is", "what is the difference", "how about" and any other which are often used in sentences

I've seen the það er and það eru used a lot of times in songs and speech, thank you for mentioning it in the video cause that seemed like one of those things I had to guess over time

Þakka þér fyrir! I have a request.. Could you do a video explaining what "viðtengingarháttur" and "miðmynd" are? I use BÍN to learn declensions and conjugations, and I'm struggling to wrap my head around these concepts.

Yes, stay posted and I'll get to that eventually!

That's the same way how it is in polish: It is a car. It is new. To jest samochód. On (musculine gender) jest nowy.

What gender would you use to describe a group of people that have both men and women would it be neuter?
@icelandicforforeigners4 жыл бұрын
Yes, a mixed group would use neuter plural "þau"
@Fuar114 жыл бұрын
5:27 why does neuter PLURAL represent neuter singular? That seems odd.
@icelandicforforeigners4 жыл бұрын
Depending on the language you speak, you may expect a word to be singular, but it may not be singular in another language. Some Icelandic words are always plural. This makes it seem like a plural word is used to express something singular, like "jakkaföt." The word is plural in Icelandic, so we need plural adjectives and pronouns, even though we use the singular in English.
