I can explain the gas mask issue at the end: you were ADS when the gas overtook you which prevents the gas mask from equipping. Then, you never fully unADS long enough for the gas mask to equip. I have no idea why the self revive didn't work though...

The game cancels gas mask animation if you’re actively shooting, and if you’re last alive on your team revive pistols won’t let you self with them without a self in your inventory. The question is are they bugs or are they features?

Great questions man. Any chance you used one revived one person or shot a revive pistol before trying to self revive in that instance? Cause it’s set up that you can revive 4 people, or one single self revive takes up all 4. You can’t shoot the pistol once then revive yourself - hope that makes sense.

@@reedaskey6065 a revive pistol has the same end result as self-revive - it revives. In addition to the self, you are able to revive someone else and the animation can be stopped. But there is no reason why solo could not self when having this equipped, using the item slot for it instead e.g. cluster mine. Doesn't seem logical. Doesn't seem fair.

@@j369fox it's exactly how they work. Revive pistols will not work if you are the last one standing on your team, even if you have 4 shots left in it. Only self revive will allow you to go down. A revive pistol in your inventory won't work

You have to get out of ADS in order to don the gas mask. You tanked gas damage because you took off the mask when exiting the gas but never stopped ADS to allow the mask to be put on when the circle moved.

One thing to mention is that the fennec has more recoil and tends to hit arms and legs more then the MP5 does, and if you remember from the start the MP5 kills faster with arm and leg shots

Great gameplay and movement. To answer those questions: 1) you used your self in the bushes and not sure why the pistol didn’t work. 2) you were fighting gas and bullets 3) the gas mask won’t auto equip if you ADS. Your mask came off when you got out the gas, you ADS, it didn’t auto equip.

I think the self res didn't work because for some reason that one doesn't work when you're the last left on your team, and you were solo in duos. I know this because my friend was reviving with one once but as soon as I got downed his revive got cancelled and we both died.

I just had to change my lovely Fennec build up from max recoil control, to the barrel that adds some damage, no matter what it was just to hard to win 1v2's with one mag on the fennec. Now ive lost some ADS / recoil for more damage range on the fennec, but it doesnt feel as nice.

Switched to the TAQV for Sniper support (not meta I know) but it dominates…you can’t run and gun in buildings etc but if you play around that it works great. I will say the RPK is a lot more accurate at longer distances. Secondly, switch to Horizontal only muzzle attachment and shoot to chest you’ll hit two head shots bc it’ll rise a bit during longer shots.

Sometimes the gas mask equips sometimes it doesn't, either way they need to pick one so we know

@@IsmSupreme7 It enver equips when you ADS that is intentional and how it should work, Iceman fucked up and this has worked the same way in WZ1 for a long time. The revivepistols however do not count as a real selfrevive in terms of not wiping when you get knocked which is really annoying and needs fixing. But I guess it could be a "balance thing"

1- You need to put the gas mask on in order for it to work, if you are ADS it will not put the gasmask on so thats why you took damage 2- a self revive gun doesn’t work like a normal self revive, the gun works on others (even on opponents) and only on yourself if your team is still alive. In this case you did not have a teammate, that is why you died. (If you play solo’s a selfrevive gun is only usefull if you carry another “normal” selfrevive with you. In this case the game makes you use the gun first.)

The mp5 is my first and main gun above all others, I made my own build, and its a hybrid sniper support with a vlk scope and decent ads but also has hipfire bonuses incase its too close to scope in, it rips every scenario

The self not working is def a bug. But you took off the mask and never stopped ADS long enough for the animation to put it back on. Ticks away in your pocket just like it does in WZ1 now.

If you hold ADS your gas mask won't auto deploy. It's a good change to stop the animation from canceling your ADS.

Once you take off the gas mask you have to wait for the pull down animation then ads then you won’t get damage from gas. Once you ads the mask won’t pull down.

Isaac, you got damage because of while the Border of the gas touches you, you where on aim down side so the gasmask animation couldnt start. it was the last patch on WZ1/ Verdansk, when they did this to never loose gunfights anymore because of the gasmaskanimation in exactly this situaion. Its still an annoying thing.

Lachmann sub/TaqV is great set up. I feel uncomfortable with the fennec outside like 20m or so. But the lachmann I feel great with up to maybe 40m pushing it. Sure you'll find lose a couple 50/50 indoor fights but they seem minimal and rare if you're decent and can duke and get shots off early etc., feels a worthy trade. TaqV be slappin tho! Much prefer the feel over the rpkn

Last gun fight your gas mask didnt equip because u were ADSed. While u ADS the gas mask wont equip. This is a good and bad thing. Its good because ur gun wont randomly stop ADSing while u are shooting from zone, and its bad because u ofc take damage from the zone

Hey ice you were taking health damage cause you step out of zone than your operator took off the mask but then when zone catchs up as you were ads shooting, the operator does not put back on the gaz mask he can only do it if you step out of ads for a second 18:26

You took the mask off after entering the circle, and while shooting, your hands were occupied. You didn't have your mask on. That's why you took the damage from the gas. The only problem I saw here is that your mask is also lost durability, which is probably a bug.

I think the durability loss is intended. If you're in the gas, every mask you have loses durability, so you can't camp out in the gas.

I switched off the Fennic for the lockman a couple weeks ago. Can get more downs with a 40 round lockman mag then a max fennic mag. Miss less shots and can make a gun I move faster with while still being easier to control. Outside of barrel to butt distance where you can’t miss a shot the lockman feels like it kills just as fast because your not missing a shit or two. Only difference I run on my build is shark fin 90 and no stock instead. Fast and deadly build

While you are ADS without a mask on, your guy will not put the mask on because you are busy fighting, even if gas moves on to you. When you stop ADS, your guy puts the mask on. But the opposite way doesn’t apply. If you ADS and shoot someone while in gas, and you step out of gas, your guy thinks it’s a good idea to take one hand off the gun so you can take your mask off. It makes no sense. Just put the mask on the player without an animation. It’s a game, it doesn’t need to be 300% realistic. I mean, a .50 Cal to the brain still won’t one shot as long as you’re wearing 3 armor plates on your chest. Sigh… they’ve got a ways to go.

In solo's, when I pick up the self-revive pistol, I always fire it once. It seems to work as a self-revive when its been used. A bug perhaps? I've been in your situation too many times wondering, "WTF? Why did it not let me self-revive?"
