Would be great if they had used the guts of the RAPT temp controller instead of the manual ones but I guess that would increase the costs. One other advantage of a fridge, at least for me, is being able to ferment in my dirty garden shed and not worry as I can keep the inside of the fridge nice and clean! Wouldn’t want to leave a few thousand quids worth of shiny in there!

That looks awesome. Great content as always 🍺

Great video. Do you think this will work with an F100 and F150. Unlikely to be cold crashing at the same time but would it do the job?

Hey! So we would recommend that it will work but we wouldn’t suggest cold crashing both simultaneously

So this really was this week's Sunday 9am video then? I suspected it might be.

Glycol wins when you go bigger than 5 gallons and multiple fermenters. The crash cool is also fast and so I’ve been making super clear beers when I need yeast and hops out of suspension.

Is there any specific flexible pipe lagging you can recommend to fit that 11mm blue and red hose you sell?
@themaltmiller8438 Жыл бұрын
We are looking into that and stocking it. The kind you want though is solid, with no slit in. So not the type you would use for central heating pipes. From what we have looked into so far, the type you want is the version that is used for ir conditioning pipes as its softer and more flexible, plus you slide the hoses onto it rather than around

do you know where l could find a sanitary heating element for fermentation but in 1,5" tri clamp format? thx

Not that we have seen, from our understanding there isn't enough space to house all the components in a smaller body

Brewtaurus got it (around 20-25cm long)and since a few weeks/months, Brewtools have one on their site, but much longer than the brewtaurus 🍺

How many liters of beer do you think we can "cold crash"? Please
@themaltmiller84385 ай бұрын
Apx 300L, this will vary a little depending on ambient temperatures, the FV's you're using etc... but hopefully that helps give you an idea of what to expect

@@themaltmiller8438 Thank you very much for your answer. Do you think, it can work with 2 fermzilla 55L perfectly isolated

The glycol tank temperature controller should not be on the back. It should be on the front with the other controllers so it is easily readable and accessible.

This is overkill, just use an electric heater with thermostat to maintain the room temperature. Or if you’re a 13th century monk just put it somewhere deep down in a cave.
@themaltmiller8438Ай бұрын
In many cases this would be enough yes, there's lots of folks wanting to brew traditional lagers all year round or cold crash but also brew with yeast that needs to be raised much higher in terms of temps such as the thermo-tolerant yeasts
