Before I looked into the context of that jump, I was kinda hoping it was some kind of strange ritual/holiday game they have in place of regular Christmas where they praise the hay and it's a "Leap of faith for the Scarecrow" or some shit like that and the Mayor is tying to make it look cool to the kids LMFAO
