18 years ago and some titles made me shed tears out of nostalgia... The music just fit so perfect on some areas... Damn

My teenage years right here! Soule's score perfectly captured the beauty, wonder, and horror of Icewind Dale. I still get chills 20+ years later.

Soule never fails to produce absolute wonder and magic to every game he composes for. It's truly a loss that he will not be scoring TE6

Skeleton of a Town is the most beautiful piece of music I have ever heard, not just from video games but anywhere.

Although I LOVE Icewind Dale and prefer it to Icewind Dale 2, ‘Skeleton of a Town’ is one of the most beautiful pieces of fantasy music ever produced and I genuinely think Inon Zur actually outdid Jeremy Soule on that one piece of music alone… that being said, the Icewind Dale soundtracks alone are easily a collection of the greatest pieces of videogame music ever made. Again, especially ‘Skeleton of a Town’ - it’s music that physically makes me stop in the game world just to listen to it 😮💨 Heart of Winter overall just kicks so much arse! Pillars’ White March expansion was quite a sweet nod to it 😊

I love the Lonleywood music. You do really feel that after the epic battle of IWD, you've arrived at the top of the world.

The music sounds a lot like Morrowind & Skyrim ! Great work from Jeremy Soule and Inon Zur

These games live in the shadow of the orginal Baldurs Gate entries but they're both very fun and engaging in their own way. The setting is great too.

Amazing compilation and another triumph for this channel! Keep these videos coming with other CRPG franchises as well and with that I would request a Planescape: Torment compilation for the list

@thedoctor6851 Thank you. I have Planescape on my list for quite a while already. I will also come to this soundtrack :-)

Jeremy Soule made some excellent fantasy music for the games Dungeon Siege I & II. Any chance you could make an ambient music vid for those?
@rennschnecke19 ай бұрын
Yes, I can do that. Good point, I enjoyed playing Dungeon Siege :-)

Jeremy Soule, the Mozart of video game soundtracks. Inon Zur is not far behind imo.

Where did you get the art for the different tracks?
@rennschnecke13 күн бұрын
@ronanmurray503 I would have to double check, but most of them (if not all) come from the games themselves, especially the load screens and chapter introductions

What is Icewind? Does it have anything to do anything with Skyrim?
@rennschnecke1 Жыл бұрын
It is an RPG based on Dungeons and Dragons and was developed by the same studio that developed the Baldur´s Gate games. It is a different style, compared with Sykrim, just the composer for the music is the same. The world is not so open and the story quite linear. It features a very nice winter setting and good combat system.

Uh, it is a wonderful dungeon crawler, made by the best (now defunct) game studio: Black Isle.
