Monique, thanks to you and the Code of Ethics review team for all your hard work. I created the acronym RICE to define our core values; R - Respect I - Integrity C- Cooperation E- Excellence Like rice, our Values are universal.

Thanks for that; helpful to remember it!

Hello, just noticed that the C is supposed to be Collaboration rather than cooperation.

I created that same Acronym myself while studying for the test. Super cool to see someone else come up with that one too! Thanks for sharing!

I think Brighton West when he talks in these videos is so likeable. I hope he gets to always host in these videos. Thank you so much Brighton you made the videos so much more enjoyable for us.

As I'm now going over the Code of Ethics for my ICF Exam and because I encountered this issue in one of the ICF Mock Exam questions: the ICF Code of Ethics applies when ICF Professionals (=Individuals who represent themselves as an ICF Member or ICF Credential-holder, in roles including but not limited to Coach, Coach Sureprvisor, Mentor Coach, Coach Trainer, and Student of Coaching), represent themselves as such in any kind of coaching-related interaction. In fact, according to the Code, it applies regardless of whether a Coaching Relationship has been established. So, according to this, the Code of Ethics applies to you even if you are ONLY an ICF MEMBER or ICF Staff and even if the Coaching relationship has not been established. Ouf!

Have these been changed? I understand them to be: Professionalism. Collaboration. Humanity. Equity.

I do too. That is what the link to the values in the code says. did you get an answer to this question?
@Kitoulini6 ай бұрын
@@susiebeaumont9564 good points. The ICF Core Values were "updated" in 2020. Here is what it says on the relevant ICF page on Core Values: "As ICF continues to evolve, so too must our organizational values. With the collective challenges of 2020 and the uncharted territory that still lies ahead, we've taken the time to examine our values and put what matters most at the forefront of everything we do".

do I need to be a member to mention the code of ethics in my coaching agreement or would just being a member of the local chapter be sufficient?

Just wanted to confirm is it Collaboration or Cooperation?
@Kitoulini6 ай бұрын
I'm at the moment cramming for the ICF Exam, so the Core Value is Collaboration: "We commit to develop social connection and community building".
