it wasn’t stupid, gamzees rage powers just made him powerful enough to compete with vriska's god tier and eridan's science wand. nepeta couldn’t fight that, at least not in that timeline. but i am glad to see this interpretation of the strife giving her the chance to fight back

@@higztv1166 Bit late to this but I personally think rage powers basically amplifies your physical strength many times fold. It's kinda like when you're angry you get stronger because of adrenaline levels spiking, just think of that but on steroids.

Really cool! I always wanted to see what Nepeta vs Gamzee would have looked like as a full-out fight. Definitely awesome work for only a year of animating! If you don't mind a little critique, I think for your next one you should try experimenting with more facial expressions- a lot of the time in this one, it seemed like the characters (especially Nepeta, imo) didn't really emote much, which meant the same facial expression when she's furious and enraged at Gamzee, as when she was joking around with Equius. I think if you really nailed the facial expressions, you'd take your work to a whole other level! Keep at it, excited to see what you make next. :)

I love this version of the story, in the original Nepeta goes down like such a chump, in this one she actually puts up a fight, I love Nepeta and Equius and I wish they had more screen time in the original, thank you for making this.

Bonus fan theory: I imagine Nepeta didn't make it far as the rogue of heart because the aspect of heart is about the self and working on yourself but Nepeta was always focusing on shipping **others** and that severely limited her ability to embody her aspect and gain power from it, where as Gamzee had the rage inside him all along.

We all knew how this would end but it’s nice to think how Nepeta can and would put up an actually good fight against Gamzee. Also using Gamzee using Nepeta’s own arm to chock her to death going in line with Nepeta’s aspect is honestly kind of disturbing.

this is SO fucking cool holy shit!!!! the goodbye hit hard,,,, the VA's did an incredible job the "ouch!" at 7:01 is a complete mood shift for like 10 seconds, incredibly homestuck :D THE SCREENS FLICKERING IN THEIR COLOURS!!!! im rewatching your stuff and having watched the prince vs mage one, im tbh fascinated by the design you gave the meteor, in comic it seems so empty and vast bc its top down, filling it up with so much stuff in the ceiling and hanging wires and random atmospheric screens makes it so interesting THE FUCKING JOKER SMILE1?!??!?!?!?? To be fair, Nepeta spent her time in the Medium fighting along Equius, whilst Gamzee was drugged out on slime pie and chilling with imps, she's probably at the max of her echeladder while Gamzee is not, unless the head knockoff of the king somehow boosted him there, unlikely.

@@Ice-wu8qq good point actually. I just think that due to Gamzee’s association with L0rd English, he has some kind of causality-like buff that makes him way stronger than he should be. I think his toon force-like power in the narrative comes from LE in a sort of meta way.

Cool video. I loved the writing and atmosphere, though the lip-synching is off most of the time. Also, a lot of the movements were kind of floaty - Nepeta's walk after her "victory" was especially noticeable. The models were really good, but I feel like Gamzee's mouth was too... small? round? It didn't look like it had "corners" like mouths typically do, though it may have something to do with the male characters in this lacking visible lips.

@@silverpond9889 hey so I just did a google search and couldn't find any references too olive blood military's service at all let alone there use as "tanks. though I did find mention that "green and blue bloods" where used in the threshecutioners, "flaysquads" a brawler type unite or "frontline DPS" if you will as oposed to the designated "tank" unite the Ruffiannihilators containing primarily indigo bloods like Equius. also I should mention that the burden of proof lies on the accuser so you really should provide support for your clams when making such statements in the future.

@@silverpond9889 Also if we are referencing cannon after Gamzee brutally bashed nepeta in too a pool of blood he was shone to have suffered no injury's aside from self-inflicted ones indicating that she was either dead or unconscious or disoriented after in the first hit and that he continued to beat her after she was no longer able to pose him any threat.
