Theorically, he perfected his evolve of hougyoku and absorbed his zanpaktou (since hougyoku showed us he doesnt even need zanpaktou anymore) which means he absorbed kyokasuigetsu definetly So im sayin, he absorbed his zanpaktou for perfecting houygoku's evolve and obtained ven greater power if it wasnt worth it, aizen would do that he is way smarter than us, so this means aizen we saw in anime >>>>>>> (hypothetical) bankai aizen He sacrificed his zanpaktou and obtained a greater power basically, this was probably his backup plan, i nean if urahara didnt come, ichigo was dead And aizen would win and continue evolving even more, and even after he was prisoned and his reiatsu was nerfed it seems like it didnt help, he still kept evolving even more, if he didnt do that, he would probably wont able to perfect the evolve of hougyoku, completed evolve of hougyoku > bankai
