Relating to the original Gotei 13 we just saw, I thought of a topic I'd love you to look at. If the Gotei 13/Sereitei had stayed bloodthirsty would they have obliterated the wandenreich? Off the top of my head, in a bloodthirsty sereitei. Zaraki would have been forced to fight Unohana when he became a captain by Yamamoto instead of Shunsui. Mayuri and other Muken/nest of maggots prisoners might have been accepted and funded for research (Like how Yama hunted out Unohana for the original Gotei 13.) Uraharas three day bankai method would be forced on all shinigami, the ones that live have bankai. Mod soul research/hollowfication potentially accepted. Even mass producing Uraharas invisibility clothing for usage. There's alot that might have changed if Yamamoto was still willing for shinigami to die pursuing more power. And I think you'd really do that video justice honestly

@@BrandonHeat243 You dont know that, we still cannot know why Almight wasnt used, if the reason is because it was the only option for Yuha or if it was a mistake. It is still possible it was not used for the specific reason of it being only option to get Soul King killed, as it requiered Ichigo. Even if Yuha won 1000 years ago he had no means of killing Soul King, so not using Almight could be the only possible direction to take by seeing all timelines. We can only hope we will get expanded on it in Anime.

I am german myself, here is the explanation: Qual means agony or torment in english. But I would take agony circle, because it describes the mental or physical suffering, sometimes before imminent death. It's actually really fitting, using that technique, just after Yhwach explaining what Ichigo actually is! Just making Ichigo feel agony both physical and mentally. So far I absolutely love the TYBW Arc!!

I noticed that while watching and I was so glad for it and the red reiatsu when he was going full power. It gave reason as to why he never used his hollow mask for a boost. It showed that he already had its power integrated into his regular set.

They really did Sasakibe right in the new anime. They showed us he was deeply involved in the war, even impales Ywatch. It also make it looks very intentional when Ywatch returns the favor 1000 years later and impales Sasakibe right in front of Yamamoto as part of his revenge. It feels even more personal.

I just love how human Ichigo is. He’s literally a teenager bearing such a big responsibility, which is why I love him as a Shōnen protagonist. His whole character reminded me how similar he is to Peter Parker. Even though I’ve seen the manga through and through, I always get invested in the Strawberry boy.

This episode is so cool. It’s really impressive just how much new content Kubo and the team are trying to give us. The Gotei Flashback, new Quincy Incantation, and the extended fight sequence was amazingly well done. The pacing also got way better imo Alot of cool things this episode but I wanna stop before i write too much lol

One thing I saw mentioned that I agree with is that the high speed movement sound effect they used for Ichigo sounded more like sonido then flash step, which is a cool detail to see ichigo use an aspect of his hollow powers like we only previously saw with his Vasto Lorde form.

The anime actually started doing this in the Ichigo vs Ginjo fight, with a small Sonido boom sound before the Shunpo sound, which is now more of a blended sound. It's a really neat detail.

Seeing Byakuya in that state, his body, mind and pride utterly demolished in blood was terrifying and him practically begging Ichigo to save Soul Society in tears shows how bad things really are. It serves as a sharp contrast to his usual stoical prideful self, now the chips are down and Ichigo's brief clash with Yhwach serves to show how his hybrid heritage and savior's role can salvage this nightmare.

There was an important line in the latest episode. Ywach asked Hashwald why he did not tell him about Auzens intervention. He told him he knew it would not have made a difference. It also corresponds with the vision he had of Ywachs death. It makes me think Hashwald knew Ywach would be the cause of his own demise the whole time. He also chose to go down with him out of a distorted sense of loyalty.

“My precious son born in the dark” were such haunting words when I first read them in the manga. The original Gotei 13 with Yamamoto at their head showed us what savage demon's they were, and i loved every moment. It’s a small thing, but I think it’s worth pointing out. In the Hulu translation at least, as unfortunately I don’t understand Japanese, Byakuya calls Ichigo a man in this, I believe it’s the first time he’s ever done that. He used ‘Boy’ throughout the soul society arc as a derogatory, but now he shows he has so much Respect for the one who brazenly broke the laws of the soul society barely 2 years before.

People talk about past Yamamoto being a bloodthirsty killing machine. And they are right. The thing about that, is that you can be bloodthirsty and long for battle, and not be evil. You can be a vicious, battle-hardened individual, and not be a total monster. It depends on what you fight for, and what you battle for to obtain the label of "bloodthirsty..." I say this in reference to Yamamoto's relationship with young Shunsui.

I see a lot of people speculating that when Ichigo will find Byakuya he is using Sonido, but I don't think it's this. I mean, for most part every sound effect still the same. The Hollow roars, the Cero sound are the same, but Ichigo's speed technique doesn't sound just like a Sonido. I CFYOW we have a character named Hikone whose able to use all of the four speed techniques we know so far. With that in mind, it should be possible for Ichigo to use Shunpo with Sonido, it would make sense with the sound. At this point Ichigo should be able to use Hirenkyaku without even notice the way he used Blut Vene automatically against Yhwach. Of course I don't know for sure, it's just a speculation I wanted to bring to the table.

11:30 so if I was to guess based on him surviving that strike and the line of him not been able to stay out of the shadow realm (YuGiOh reference is now stuck in my head) for too long I would guess that he didn’t fully survive it and that is only his Heritage that stopped him from 100% dying, there is also the chance that as soon as he was backed into a corner he started to prep his run away like a Sissy girl technique and it was this that saved his life but it’s taken a thousand years to recover from the wound. And as he can’t be away from that shadow realm for too long I’m guessing he still isn’t fully healed yet heck until he takes the powers of the soul king he may never be fully whole.

I dunno if anyone else noticed this or if I'm the only one. when Ichigo jumps, sees rukia and renji, then banishes... I think that's actually a Sonido instead of shunpo. the sound is different from a classic shunpo and ressembles more that of Sonido, also, the fact that MASK says that Ichigo's reiatsu dissappeared for me reinforces more the fact that it is Sonido, just like the fight with ulquiorra, also I think I remember reading that Shunpo is silent but leaves traces of reiatsu, but Sonido has a sound but hides reiatsu. what do y'all think?

yes, agony circle is a fitting translation. I have to say, it was really weird through the whole manga arc, reading german words between the english panels and kind of switching between the languages in my head, while these german words are more like fancy spells and not always literally to understand. The most of them do make sense, but sometimes it is weird wording. Some are obvious like Uryus "Heiligpfeil" = "holy arrow", but "Sankt Zwinger" - Roys ultimate defense/offensive spell was a big wtf in the first moment. "Zwinger" is usually used in german for a dogs cage, but in a very much older meaning, it also can describe a space guarded by big walls, which is basically what the spell was used for. It does fit of course, in mind of supposingly Yhwach using the spell, who still lives with an world understanding from a thousand years ago. "Sankt" as saint is just the addition to let it sound as holy as Quincy/Sternritter stuff has to sound like xD i hope my rusty english was clear enough to give a little inside from the perspective of a german about these scenes.

Original captains were shown to be alive when Yama made the “killing” blow against Juha in the first war. Which begs the question, what the hell happened to them between then & now for only Yama & Unohana to be alive if they were so strong? Vasto Lorde encounters?

Well, there is a lot of ways in which they could have died, we have simple ones, like they just killed eachother for one reason or another, some maybe got old and died from old age, or as a consequence of being too old. We also need to remember that Soul Society has loyal families, which shouldn't suprise anyone that some of them maybe have been assassinated (most probably poisoned). Also Sokyoku exists for a reason, I wouldn't be surprised if one of them ended up being executed by it. That said I barely scratched the surface of the possibilities.

i love the rain evaporating off of Ichigo, not even touching him as his power just builds. A really great way to show just how powerful he is as well as building the anticipation of his rage and fight against Yhwach. And I can't wait to see Kenpachi Unohana. I'm very interested to see how exactly they'll adapt her strength and her overall demeanor, because she really did come off as completely different in the manga at that point. not just creepy, but downright terrifying. I kind of want to feel like once you see her, you won't live to see her again. That's how powerful, and frightening she needs to come across, something that really gives Zaraki a moment, just a moment, to pause and think "fuck"

Probably my favorite moment in episode 7 is ichigo and byakuya talking. The delivery byakuyas VA used was perfect, especially when he said ichigos name. That voice Crack was great and genuinely made me tear up. The extra scenes that were added were so welcome and unexpected. After kubo put out the art showing the original gotei 13 I suspected we might get a glimpse of them in this episode but I didn't expect even close to what we got. Personally I would love to see a prequel of some sort with these characters or even just a few chapters dedicated to them. I'm glad to see chojiro getting some love as well even after his death. I was hoping to get see him fight the guy that killed him but this is the next best thing imo (arguably better in some respects), would have preffered to get some of that information on him before then but it is what it is. Edit: this is just a guess, but I can't help but wonder if Jugram looks despondent because he is upset that Ichigo might replace him in some sense. Like Yuha wants Ichigo more than Jugram.

It’s really cool seeing Bleach in a full blown renaissance. Bleach was one of my favourites when it was still being released, but as the years went on I fell more into the crowd of it being “just ok” but holy wow this entire season has just been mind blowing. I’m a huge Chainsaw Man fan and was expecting that to be, by far, my favourite thing this season, but nope. Bleach has consistently been so good and I hope we get more after TTYBW is over, whether that be a hell arc or a redone anime with this fantastic team.

I think you're right about that captain being a shiba. That looked like a sword technique that both ichigo and isshin use. And i think the girl with the eye patch has a similar look to hiyori.

I really liked the black and purple reiastu Ichigo had in his Bankai in the trailer. I'm most certain as a last decision they decided to edit it and make it black and white. You can tell when there were purple streaks of reiastu in Ichigo's rage in this episode and purple flickers of electricity in the aftermath explosion of Ichigo's Getsuga in the first episode.

Would really like if Kubo released a list of the original 13's Zanpakutō/Shikais/Bankais. N for some reason I can't shake the feeling the original 13 are directly related or at least tied to the current 13. They each bare resemblance to each of the current.. for exa: Hitsugaya and the white haired captain, Shinji n maybe the pink haired girl with the eyepatch (behavior wise on that one), Mayuri and the Captain with the spine Zanpakutō (having a weird sword like that seems like a Mayuri thing hands down), Komamura and the beast looking capt. Would love a half or full episode on them!

I really love the subtle parallels between Jugram breaking Ichigo's sword and Ichigo breaking Ginjo's sword in the previous arc. Ginjo was raging and lashing out carelessly at Ichigo while Ichigo was calm and his swordplay was at its finest and he was able to smash through Ginjo's sword in one lunge. Ichigo here in the tybw is raging and attacks almost carelessly which gave Jugram an opportunity to cleanly sever Tensa Zangetsu in one blow. I think Kubo might have had this in mind considering he just finished the Lost Agent and Ginjo appears in the following chapters.
