I’ve bought some of the manga volumes of my favorite moments - and I just read the fight with Ichigo and Ulquiorra, and learned the two different sort of flash step names. They never say those words in the anime. Sonido and Hoho. (And the Hirenkyaku the Quincies use) Thanks for this comment 😍

@@FlexiejayAnime To be 100% exact, Soul reapers' flash step is called Shunpo, Hoho is something else, that include Shunpo. To sum it up really fast, there are 3 categories of skills a soul reaper learns to get stronger: Zanjutsu, which is sword fighting; Kido, pretty self-explainatory; Hoho, which is footwork skills and Hakuda which is hand to hand combat. Shunpo, the flash step, is considered to be the highest form of Hoho.

@@FlexiejayAnime Not only that, but the fact that Ichigo was able to find Rukia and Renji from that distance is "Pesquiza", another Arrancar technique. Another bit that reveals that it is Sonido is the fact that everyone lost track of Ichigo's reiatsu when warping, which is an oddity of Sonido.

2:58 He died on that day. But we all know what happens to souls when they die as humans, right? They are simple transferred to the Soul Society. He is also a special case because he didn't "respawn" immediately. That's why there was the poem at the beginning of episode 1 with the 999 years.

Your husband's reaction is amazing and they have lost another strong old man in the world of anime and this episode left me with so many questions the first time I watched it Did byakiya die because this is too much Is Ichigo's mother a Quincy? Is this a fight between Ichigo's uncles and uncles? Why didn't yamamoto kill Yhwach at that time? Was he his son? and I was hoping they would give us more information about the first Gotel-13 from Soul Society Oh this episode is shocking and difficult
