Ippudo is ramen for tourists though, there's even a branch in London. It's not bad ramen by any means, but foreign tourists to Japan tend to seriously overhype a single chain store, while Tokyo is full of great independent ramen restaurants that make much better ramen than Ippudo.
@SirCorrino4 жыл бұрын
Ichiran is the same, though. Though I agree that when in Japan you should try the local, non-chain restaurants.

In Osaka it's even more ridiculous, on dotonbori there's a chain ramen store which always has a giant queue of white tourists outside, while the same chain has another store just 2 blocks away or something, I forgot which one it is. Don't eat at chains, find one that uses good ingredients and no MSG (since it imparts a bland, samey flavor to everything).

There are different menu for different place for Ippudo, in my area, there is a menu called tokusei akamaru (special akamaru) which is different from the one in your video. It costs 1250 yen for a bowl, but the experience you're getting is totally different from any bowl of ramen in Japan. The meat are thicker and they use different part of the pork for that bowl, also you're going to get wontons in your bowl alongside all the other condiments, and I'll tell you, the wontons are out of this world. If you have the time, you should try Ippudo's one more time, and find the restaurant with that menu. It's gonna worth your time and money, I guarantee.

Just got the chance to try this out a week ago, definitely worth the queue for the ramen and the trip to Japan. 🤤

I'm a ramen lover but watching you eat them in Japan just makes me realize that I have never truly had an original and can only imagine how truly different they are over there compared to the states. I was almost Drooling watching you lol.

Have you ever tried the Kyoto based chain Kirameki no Tori? So far this has been the only place where I found the ramen exactly how I believed it should taste like. Please give it a try when you go to Kyoto, just next to the Imperial Palace. Go for the chicken version instead of the typical chasu one! :D

Instead of paying 30 for ramen in ny id rather give 30 to japan ramen even if it was $5. Also why isnt the ad playing, i want you to get ad revenue.

Hi love your channel. I was wondering is Japan wheelchair friendly. And what city would u recommend. If anyone has answered tell me pls. Happy holidays every one
@o0Erzebeth0o6 жыл бұрын
Not everywhere is wheel chair friendly. Stick to Tokyo modern museums and more popular shrines. Older museums won't have elevators or sidewalks

sean zhang The Cheese Cake factory chain in America proves that having too many items on your menu makes it terrible. I’ve ate there three different times and everything tasted like shit even though people love to talk about how big their menu is.

It is fun to hear you talk about the condiments as being special as it is mostly Ichiran who doesn't have, but almost all other Ramen places have these extra condiments. But even though it doesn't stop me from having Ichiran when I go to Japan, it is just a good standard place that you can return too..
