Absolute class,I guess the band had shit management as I don’t see how they would not have been huge,it sucks,this guy at the front is excellent,he can sing and do a set better than the shit going about now.

The biggest problem is that they signed with Arista in the U.S. and they were being pursued by various labels, but Clive Davis offered their main label in the UK, Beggars Banquet a lot of money to sign them in the US and distribute their debut, so Beggars took the money and the deal and the band really didn’t have much choice, Arista was trying to boost its roster of “new wave” bands, but it didn’t really do a good job of promoting any of them and dropped most of them including Icicle Works after their first album. Typical music business crap.
