He's not resting (only in our minds; a euphemism); he has started the life cycle again, from the time of his death (approx.)... The "spirit" or controlling centers of the brain have never been identified, nor will they be. You are a biological organism combined with an indistructable system or element that departs the organism that is your body at death. The current analogy is described as a television set; what you see on a TV is not actually taking place inside your TV, it is being beamed in from a broadcast station... Realize(!!): we have only had technology for about two hundred years, other regions of the universe have had advanced tech for millions of years and longer--our creator... He was solid (and vital) for sure. Another player whose band would be absolutely empty without his bass-parts is Brian Ritchie of Violent Femmes. Never underestimate the bass-player (I say this as a guitar/keyboard/frontman). 👍

My best friends and I would wear our kilts whenever we could as a mark of being Scottish. Where have those days gone? Dancing in the park and playing camanachd. It was magic. I think of this song when I think of times gone by.

All the talk about Duran Duran, culture club, Spandau, people forget how much impact bands like BC had, real music played by real musicians and written by real talent ❤❤❤

I remember going to Wembley arena to see Big Country and returning the day after to see OMD, two great nights, sadly we are now the ghosts of the 80s, enjoy your youth, and respect those who come after

Still as awesome as the day it was released, my second year at senior/high school!! Great bass player too, Tony Butler if I remember rightly? God bless you Stuart, I hope your troubles have now passed, rest in peace, you are sadly missed!! 🙏

I couldn't be further away from Scotland or any other "big country" for that matter. But I've loved this song ever since I was a kid and still listen to it regularly. Thanks fellas 👍

Stuart Adamson will live forever in his brilliant songs! He was a true innovator and such a sweet person. The whole band is just rockin it up there! What a show!

One of the killer top songs of the 80s, I loved that decade and I feel sorry for the ones that didn’t have that opportunity to experience that era
