i honestly think the watermelon ending is better, cause the normal ending seems more like they both ended up dying, and that is like the after life. and with this ending they are just chilling on the beach eating watermelon. i suppose it could still be the afterlife, but it seems more like it's Not the afterlife.

I agree. It’s less ambiguous as to their fate. The bloom effect still makes me think they ascended to heaven though. It’s nice to see them enjoy their watermelon.

Awesome, played this like 15 years ago on ps2, i came here just to see the ending after getting hyped over last guardian and it sharing a similar aesthetic. Never knew about this watermelon business!!! Cool
