I'm sharing the Icom 7300 using the Chameleon MPAS antenna.
This is a 360 VR video using the Icom 7300 and RP40 is a powerful and highly-effective ham radio software program that decodes received CW audio that has been fed to a computer’s sound card. The decoded text is displayed on the computer’s monitor. For transmitting CW, the program encodes keystrokes from the computer’s keyboard. Hams use MRP40 to send and read QRQ (high-speed) CW, to help read weak DX signals, and to improve CW contest scores.
The Icom IC-7300 is Icom's latest SDR HF/50 MHz Transceiver. It offers 100W of output power and receieves from 0.030 to 74.800 MHZ. It operates on SSB, CW, RTTY, AM and FM modes. The Icom IC-7300 features a RF direct sampling system, 15 discrete band-pass filters, a real-time spectrum scope and a large 4.3" color touch screen display. Additional features of the IC-7300 include a built-in automatic antenna tuner, 101 channels, SD memory card slot and 3 CW functions. In the box you will find the IC-7300 transceiver, a HM-219 hand microphone, DC power cable, fuses and plugs along with a warranty card and manual.
Output power: 100W (25W AM)
RX Frequencies: 0.030-74.800
Receiver type: Direct sampling
RF direct sampling system
The IC-7300 employs an RF direct sampling system, where RF signals are directly convert to digital data. Then processed in the FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array), making it possible to simplify the circuit construction as well as reduce noise that can mask weak signals.
The new “IP+” improves the 3rd order intercept point (IP3) performance improving the ability to copy a weak signal that is adjacent to either a strong interfering signal. In this process, A/D converter is optimized to reduce or eliminate signal distortion.
RMDR and phase noise characteristics
The IC-7300’s RMDR is about 97dB* (typical value) improving the Phase Noise characteristics by about 15dB (at 1 kHz frequency separation). The superior Phase Noise characteristics reduce noise components for both receive and transmit signals.
* At 1 kHz frequency separation (received frequency: 14.2MHz, MODE: CW, IF BW: 500Hz)
15 discrete band-pass filters
The RF Direct Sampling is protected by an array of bandpass filters. The signal passes through one of the fifteen bandpass filters, where signals outside the passband are rejected. To reduce the insertion loss, the IC-7300 utilizes High Q factor coils.
Large color touch screen
The large 4.3” color TFT touch LCD offers intuitive operation of functions, settings, and various operational visual aids such as the band scope, waterfall function, and audio scope.
Like on the high-end rigs, the waterfall shows a change of signal strength over a period of time and allows you to find weak signals that may not be apparent on the spectrum scope.
CW functions: full break-in, CW reverse, CW auto tuning
SSB, CW, RTTY, AM, FM modes

ta for this. interesting software. For me, half the fun of CW though, is decoding it in your head. I have only recently (ie yesterday !) sent CW for the first time - using a straight key and my 7300 - and getting my first QSO on CW was a real buz. Any amateur radio operator that has not learned to take / send morse code should try it, although I get that learning morse can be a pain - the Aussie Army taught me over a quarter century ago, and it has stayed with me. Im glad that it did. Thanks for your videos. They are interesting. cheers, Cristian VK1FCLU

Toroids are the way to go! Congrats! Now you need a mix 43 or 31 at your antenna feedpoint to reduce RX noise on HF

Great video, very encouraging for someone wanting to learn and use CW. I do like 360 videos but for me I'm not yet sure how best to use it. I may start to livestream some CW sessions. Cheers fella!

So, is this software worth the money, or is it a waste of time. How accurate is it with your 7300. I have a 7300 and I would love to start copying CW but my skills are not quite up to par. I am hoping to improve with some technical help. Would you pay for a full version of this?

That's just a USB cable. The 7300 has a USB output to a common USB to a computer. The 7300 is wonderfully easy to setup.

Great video , my issue is that my laptop wont work with MRP 40 OR fldigi ect ect just says no soundcard but it obviously has because i listen to music on it . But my 7300 apperently has an inbuilt soundcard so i will try and see if Mrp 40 / fldigi ect will work when i plug in the radio and i have downloaded the drivers from Icom .

Great video. Could you please tell me how you connected your laptop to the 7300. Was it by usb. and could you tell me the settings you put the 7300 on. was it SSB-D OR PLAIN SSB or was it on CW or CW-D in the settings. I have been having a terrible time getting ham radio deluxe to work with my 7300 so I am going to try this MRP40 now. THANKS : )

Sorry to be a critic, but now that you fixed the torroid issue, maybe you should redo this video to show us how this software works , and how to use it. thank you for your time into this and sorry to be a critic , as I am too stupid to learn CW and want to find a software equivalent for my ears and memory to use with grumpy old bastards like myself ;)

360 degree videos are interesting outside but where the focal point is the radio, not very useful. Also, 99% of KZbin for me is using Roku on 60" TV where the 360 degree view is not available and very annoying. Clicked "liked" because enjoyed the demo of the RP software.
