Pll = phase lock loop . I have 2 of these both the mk2. one has a problem with feed back on hf on transmit anything over 10 watts and it howls lick a pig

Why is AM always less power. I know you told me not to worry about it, but I'm worried.

Okay, great question, so you know how an AM signal is made out of LSB + USB + a carrier signal. Cool, well it takes a butt ton of power to make those three signals, so most radios reduce the power output. Probably to save cost. Anyway, Hey thanks for watching!

your top coax setting is HF not VHF and you need to check the manual

@@TheNoCodeTech not a problem I have the 706mk2 and in the process of fixing it, just cleaned the display and waiting for a polarized film on this unit.
