It does actually matter when they start putting JUNK motor in such a COOL old car. They should have put a TWIN "H" power 308 six cylinder in it and called it a day.

Wonderful to see that Hudson dream car from so long ago, up and running like the beauty it was built to be..A few majestic Hudsons turned up in Australia in the early 50s, and I as a kid was among their fervent admirers...so thanks fellas.

I think one of the most epic moments of owning a Derelict is the look on my insurance agent's face (I've been with since 1978) is her asking me " And you want to insure this for how much!!!"

This is my favorite Derelict. Absolutely beautiful build. I like how careful this one was done to appear so original in and out and also the patina is just right in my opinion. Some were just too worn-out looking in my opinion. This looks like a nice original "survivor". I'd so love to own this own.

This is definitely one of my favorite Derelicts as well as one of my favorite Derelict videos. The interior on this car is nothing short of amazing. The details and design enhancements are what every car guy dreams about. Who wouldn't love to cruise around in this car? This would be hard to park. And equally as hard to not just stand and admire after it is parked. Absolutely one of the great Derelicts.

When I was a boy I spent a lot of time at grandmother's house, and her old lady friends drove Hudsons, Packards, Cadillacs, Lincolns, and more. These barges were quiet beyond imagination. With some, the instruments were the only way one could tell if the engine was running.

We were a Hudson family and we had over the years six Hudson's and this film restores my faith.I would have liked to see a Commodore as the basis for the build. I work on cars and rebuild stuff myself and think man im pretty good then i see your stuff and i wanna throw mine away. All of your creations are incredibly built over the top but I gotta give it to this one to have my all time favorite. From the alligator leather to the original gauges it astounds me every time i see it. Keep up the absolutely over the top attention to detail. The rope between the grab rails on the back of the front seat is a "robe rail." Back in the day, heaters weren't standard. On really cold days, rear passengers covered their legs and laps with "lap robes." When the lap robes weren't in use, they were tucked over the robe rail. I'm not sure when robe rails disappeared, but our 1956 Buick Century family car had dual robe rails with an ashtray and lighter in the middle.

@@davidburton612 ---- Just checked the inflation calculator. A dollar in 1950 had the same buying power as $26.14 in 2020. A dollars worth of gas could get you someplace and back, but the problem was getting hold of a dollar. Around the middle of the 1950s. A skilled mechanic made $300.00 a month where I lived and could afford to buy a decent older house on a big lot.
