Icon will be the UK's first double launch coaster and is said to feature the highest number of ‘interactions’ in the world with 15 and will cross five other park rides and pass through two tunnels. The ride is being manufactured by Mack Rides at their world-class factory in Waldkirch, Germany, utilising the latest state-of-the-art engineering processes, including laser beam technology for extreme accuracy. A double launch will see thrill-seekers propelled forward at high speed not only at the start of the ride, but also at a second point half way through the two-and-a-half minute experience. Riders will experience the same levels of G force as felt by the driver of a Formula 1 car. The ride features acceleration which is 4 times that experienced in a Lamborghini Gallardo.

Same, tbh BPB needed to step up their game. Honestly I hate Amanda but I know that we can't get the old owner back. I have my reasons but I don't wanna admit it but she's actually quite good at running the park...

xxniceucyxx MSP It's been a difficult run for Amanda since Geoffrey's passing ... she's not only had to get the trust of the banks to prove she can run the place but she's had to pay off a significant debt what was left over from Geoffrey which is why in recent years we have only just seen huge investment as she has been paying it off and the debt was in the millions. she also tidied up the place, improved security round the park and investing in the business for the long term and now this! it's at a turning point .. she knows what she's doing it's just had to take longer than expected due to debts and stuff!

That's the thing... She was forced to close Southport Pleasureland due to the debts she had to pay off! So it was either close one business to save the other (In this case Pleasure Beach) or let them both keep running and eventually declare bankruptcy and loose both parks.

This is Perfect!. Imagine the interaction with some iconic rides this Mac is going to deliver. Launching through an iconic Arrow Hyper then under and over some of the last 1930s woodies on the planet. This on ride will be AMAZING!! - I get there will be haters (always are) but honestly - I knew about the layout months before release and what type of ride it was last year but seeing this makes me even more excited. Well done Amanda and well done Mac.... on a big green track.

Coming back to this video puts it in perspective of how exodus is gonna be. This video is like 100x faster than icon so exodus will most likely have a much longer ride time than in the recreation.

I came back today and I sat on icon and im 10 years old it was the best roller coster everrrrrr and its not green but I als o went on my first upside down ride and this was my second ever upside down ride and first ever roller coster and it was mt first ever giant thrill ride

Personally feel these modern steel construction rides are too 'smooth' and don't provide the same thrill of the older more traditional rides. The exception here is 'The Big One' which stands out and makes a statement just for being so darn huge. Shame The Wild Mouse ride has had to make way for this too.
