They get cleaner and more refined each time. Really like the stitching update, bluetooth audio and hidden HVAC venting.

I would have loved to see a baseball glove leather interior instead, but, not my truck. Love the reverse lights in the bedrails, very cool use of that space

So much nicer than any new truck. Much better layout and classy looks. Chevy should just sell improved versions of their trucks from the 50s-72.

Back in 1987, I bought a 1955 F-100 from my oldest brother. (He was a master auto mechanic) for $500. He installed a 1967 283 cu.in engine, two speed auto trans. Straight headers.Tested On Super Seven, Vermont, back in the day. At 100 MPH she would track with her straight front axil so well I could let go of the steering wheel for more than a mile. What a fun tough truck. Drove it to work for three years.

That truck sir is a piece of art. You have a winning formula with the all new running gear with the old body attached. It makes perfect sense and the vehicle still looks close to original. They are definitely something to be proud of. It's something I would do IF I could.

I had one in the 80's. All original up to the vacuum windshield wipers and six volt battery. The faster you drove the brighter the headlight were. We called it the green machine. I miss it.

Original retro starter was on the floor, just right of the gas pedal and was never on the dash. I own a bone stock 54 that was actually assembled at the old GM plant in LA. California. That being said, I'd still love a Thrift master by you in a derelict version with all the modern upgrades. Nice work.

I had a 1948, as i recall, Thriftmaster. Had a script on hood that said Thriftmaster. They had a smaller carb than stock. That was it. I also had a 1954 Bel Aire with factory Dual Exhaust. Very rare.

if that was mine to order, I'd want the same truck (chrome trim) except burgundy paint and cream color leather seating and floor treatment along with burgundy stitching. otherwise, that blue is real sweet too. Thanks for sharing Mr. Ward. Cheers.

@robertspeer5 жыл бұрын
Ever thought of using rift sawn wood instead of board sawn lumber for the wooden beds? The straighter grain would look more premium, and it is more stable over time.
