Tyrees harness was never down and locked! It didn't fit due to his size! You can clearly see this in the picture! The workers never checked him prior to ride going up!

You can literally see a difference in him and these ladies and everyone else. Yet no worker told him to get off. If they bothered to check him they would have told him his harness didn’t fit. It didn’t lock between his legs.

Everyone else’s harness went down to their lap. He was so big it was resting on his stomach so it had about a 7 inch gap that he slid through . It was locked though, they said it was locked when the ride stop. Just a terrible thing

Also if they had one of those belts that went between the crotch it probably would of caught him. Bad engineering

You are speaking out of ignorance, if his harness was not locked the ride would not have operated. What went wrong, God only knows, but his harness was locked. Due to his size, the operator should have told him he was not going to be able to ride, but by the same token, he was turned away from other rides, he should have known better. I would have fat shamed him in a heartbeat if it meant that young man was still alive today.

You sound ignorant as hell. Have you not seen the video of the incident? The ride operator wasn’t even paying attention to him, he was talking to other riders trying to be a class clown and not even paying any attention to Tyre struggling with his seat. This is entirely the fault of the ride operators because they didn’t even check to see if his seat was locked, they just looked at the little screen they got and didn’t verify. Sensors are a thing and it’s very possible that it wasn’t locked but the sensor indicated it was anyway. Educate yourself before you go out spreading false information. I watched the entire video of the whole incident as gruesome as it was and those operators were kids who didn’t take their jobs seriously. The company that made this ride is even known for their faulty rides. Hell this ride could’ve had SEATBELTS but they denied it because they didn’t wanna pay for them even though they were ridiculously cheap. That boy died because of careless operators that weren’t properly trained and, seeing as it was one of the last rides of the night, probably didn’t care enough to check. It’s all right there in the video, so I don’t get where you’re drawing your conclusions from lol it is quite possible for sensors to indicate a seat is locked when it’s not, that’s why it’s CRUCIAL for any ride to manually check the seatbelts. Twice. That’s just common sense. Also keep in mind you’re talking about a FOURTEEN YEAR OLD CHILD. “He should’ve known better” HE WAS FOURTEEN! On a school trip with his friends with little supervision. You can’t tell me you didn’t do questionable things at 14. At that age you do NOT have the capacity to have that instinctual thinking of “somethings not right.” That’s straight up victim blaming. It was the ride operators fault for not allowing him to ride, not his own. When we go to amusement parks we don’t rely on our knowledge to make sure we’re safe, we trust the people who are supposed to make sure you’re safe who are supposed to be trained (and these operators had very little training.) You are talking about a child. Someone’s kid. Just be kinder with your words. You cannot blame this child for something he was not mature or old enough to “know better.” That’s complete bullshit

His harness was not locked later investigation found their failsafe was removed thus taking down the ride

Ignorance pure ignorance!! Blaming the individual that died in this. When investigation clearly confirmed the operators were basically at fault for this tragedy. Typical!!!
