Still! It’s a highlight if you wanna change shit a major way. You can’t do it solo, you need a group/organization. You need a massive movement. So your work can continue. Even if you’re taken out, building roots/legacy. Icon needs to train more rockets. While the other rockets, continue to train other rockets.

This entire series has been phenomenal so far. Easily my favorite Milestone comic ever just from 3 issues. This series is pretty deep on a lot of conscious levels and that reference to Superman being killed as an infant really surprised me. I thought this universe would be completely different from the DC Universe like the original Milestone Media was. I don't know if people remember the "World's Collide" crossover but in that story it's explicitly stated that DC superheroes only existed as comic book characters in the original Milestone Universe

I hate to say it but this shit is not good on any level all they did was make all of dc main heroes, villains ... thats not profound or groundbreaking if anything earth -m must exist in the dark multiverse because this shit is garbage... first off icon would never agree to a stupid idea as trying to shut down the drug lords because one thats an ignorant ideal... idiots writing this dont even realize opium isnt just used as a narcotic its also a medical supplement for pain in some countries that dont have first world medicine thanks to other countries like america.... by literally going and destroying a buncha drug dealers opium fields and poppy fields literally just doomed 89% of the worlds less fortunate because those drug dealers sell those opium and poppy too those in less fortunate countries to hospitals that cant get the high end govt funded lab products. They have to use what they can from those that supply what they need... smh now icon and rocket didnt stop govt and drug dealers they hurt owople in third world countries that have suffered from america and everyone else coming thru fighting wars destroying their shit and never repaying reperations while stealing all their resources.... all this to write a bullshit story dwayne mcduffie new better than to wrte an idiotic piece like this... even in the old comics icon preached to rocket she thinks like a child and she has to understand there are reasons certain people are allowed to persist...

@@MarCoViTV Yes, and that's why this new series is so good to many people because it doesn't follow the exact same formula as the original. I personally never really liked the 1993 Icon series...it had some really good concepts but it was executed very dull and lackluster. I could easily pick apart all the flaws in the original series so we can just agree to disagree. The 1993 Icon didn't even have one decent villain. That alone made it underwhelming in my opinion

@@scinnyc Payback and Oblivion were way better villains than Benedict Lord. They at least had motivations for opposing Icon aside from "I'LL KILL EVERYONE ON THIS PLANET!" Say what you will about the original series, but McDuffie gave the characters a lot more depth.

Milestone is basically Earth-M in the DC Universe. They are more or less separated from the other universes, but still kind of effected by the multiversal shit. Honestly, with the way DC looks now, I wouldn't be surprised if it's somewhere in the omniverse and dinner like Dharma or Xombii gets involved.

It's a very short step from removing drugs from society on the grounds of "drugs are bad. M'kay" and restricting anything that could be viewed as unhealthy. Alcohol, tobacco, sugar, salt are all open to interpretation. Let alone the more esoteric aspects. Rap music, video games, movies, animation... The actual list is endless.

Ms. Collins is probably a part of The Love Army. I think that's one of the new Milestone comics that will come out hopefully sometime next year. I have Static 1,2 and 3, Icon 1&2 and Hardware 1. So far these comics are Banging imo. I hope they all get an ongoing series. So far my favorite issues are Static #3 and Icon #2. Maybe I missed it but where is Icon's mask ?

I think that would be a horrible idea because Milestone Media's universe is able to stand on its own and Icon is not with "Image" comics if that's what you're saying because they're published by DC comics. And I believe Michael B Jordan is playing "Val-Zod" not Calvin Ellis in some alternate reality in an upcoming dceu project. Also they already stated that they will be integrating "Static" into the dceu as well which will naturally open up the door for other Milestone Media's characters. So it's going to be really interesting to see how they're going to integrate Static into the dceu, seeing how that announcement came before the relaunched of Milestone comics is not a coincidence, and they also have that upcoming "Flash Paradox" movie for the dceu which basically introduces the multiverse into the dceu which sounds promising, so maybe it'll be easter eggs pertaining to different multi-universes seeing how DC has 52 of them that was really explored in {Grant Morrison's} "Multiversity". But if they do introduce the Milestone media into the dceu they should start off introducing Static like they're doing seeing how he was the most popular character of Milestone media at the time.. but I would LUV to see a movie that highlights the Milestone characters such as Hardware, when in actuality was Milestones flagship character, along with Icon, Rocket, Blood Syndicate, Shadow Cabinet etc.. An Icons Terminia aliens physiology was maximized by his pod to where as he never ages so he looks like a man in his late 20s early 30s so an older version of him would not be true to source material because he doesn't age in a traditional aspect because his alien physiology ages slower much slower like kryptonians seeing how Icon is a Terminia and their alien physiology are very similar to that of kryptonians.

Loved this issue. Especially the Superman reference. I wonder if there are more potential DC characters in the Dakotaverse due to residual influence from the DC Universe. Remember, the Milestone Universe was merged with DC due to Final Crisis and subsequently rebooted at least 3 times. First with Final Crisis, then rebooted again with Flashpoint, then Doctor Manhattan’s tampering, then Snyder’s Death Metal. Perhaps the aftermath of Death Metal caused the formation of this new Milestone Universe, Earth-M.

They made Icon Smaller and to me it’s like they are trying to make a literal black Superman ( i know Icon took inspiration from the man of steel but in Dwayne Mcduffie vision Augustus freeman is his own character). In the OG series Icon is supposed to be 6’8 & 290 lbs physically it’s Lebron James with 40 lbs of muscles. I can’t tell you how disappointed i was. If Oblivion couldn’t pierce OG Icon’s skin how can a second rate Oblivion do it ???.
