The Char Siu that you had is the typical black malaysian char siu, which is way more flavourful than reddish version found in hong kong. That caramelization of the sugar and those charred bits are unbeatable. Ive been to HK a few times and have eaten in most of the popular spots, the char siu, siu yok and roasted duck in malaysia stomps on the hk versions.

If ever in klang, do try world famous bah kut teh. Its pork cooked in herbal soup. Two versions, dry and soup. Don't forget to add in dough fritters to the soup version. Oh ya, klang is about 45 mins from kl.

@@PureDetour originates, from klang. Elsewhere, you find, they'll put" klang bah kut teh", as where it originates. There's at least 200 plus morning restaurants serving this dish, I can't recommend any special restaurant.. Because I grew up having this dish every other morning, it'll last you till evening. But, not really necessary to have in klang. Kl has a few good places too. The other Korean foodie(sedap) love it too.
