Back in the day there were rumors that Il Volvo messed up vocally in the jury finale and that's why the juries rated them much lower than the public during the grand finale a day later. I seriously think the juries and the public should rate the same performance. Artists sometimes sing different for the different shows. Gion's Tears for example knew his song "Tout l'univers" was a jury song, so he put more effort into the jury finale to grab as many points from the juries as possible. While the grand finale was still impressive, he didn't attempt to hit the same high note he sang a day prior - and to be honest, it wouldn't have made much of a difference in the votes anyway. For more transparent voting between the jury and the audience, they should judge the same performance first...

@Minduri-sh1eh what does that have to do with anything? The point is that in eurovision it's forbidden to use a sample or a song that already exists. Doja cat used a sample we all knew it was an old song. It's a competition not releasing good songs like artists in our daily lives where they can use same melodies.

Sound of Silence was by far the best entry 2016. Dami Im slayed those vocals. The only reason she didn't win I can think of is bias, because Australia was still very new in Eurovision and some people didn't like our Aussie friends to participate. The song, the staging and the vocals were on point. One of the best Eurovision songs period.
