#TimeLapseChronicles strikes again this time with the The landmark ear of corn water tower in Rochester, Minnesota which needed a good shucking and a makeover.
Mid-summer, the sandblast shucking started off, hidden behind Rochester's largest shower curtain. Every-time we drove by, the thought was there, but the action wasn't, until painting began. We went with a shoot first, ask questions later approach. One camera, turned into two, Viking Tank gave us permission to mount cameras on their equipment and at one point, there were four time lapse cameras working away.
Not naming names, but you would think, one of us would learn, not to mount a camera on a trailer, which may be here today and gone tomorrow. Josh has it narrowed down to, "I think it's in Texas, imagine the epic drive lapse!" Yeah, it's reasons like this, he is not allowed to fly a drone.
With four, minus one time lapse cameras, drone footage and stills the content was hovering about 100 GB, fine for a snow day. Marie found out about the Tank of the Year contest yesterday, she sifted through the footage and here is the tower transformation, enjoy.
