I bought a springfield. All I can say is the more I ride it the more I like it.

+Robert Acosta What were you riding before the Springfield? How does it compare to the Road King? On paper it looks like it's a significantly better bike. I traded a RG for a Chieftain and I love it but being a Road King guy the Springfield really interests me. Enjoy your Indian.

+Bill Russo I've ridden many a Harley. I switched from my 07 street glide to the springfield. I will not bad mouth harley because they are a very good product. The street glide did everything I asked her to do. But I've always wanted an indian and I think Polaris finally got it right. The springfield is stronger but smooth, you do feel the power through the floorboards and handlebar which I like. It handles like a much smaller bike. Stops real good. It is a big bike but onc you sit on it it feels smaller. Anyways I still have my 74 shovel. She's not going anywhere. Cheers.

Oh look two Harley guys logged in and gave it a thumbs down. These Indians are the best bikes ever built on US soil! Can't wait to see the new Springfield in person, thanks for the video review.

did they thumbs down the bike, or the video? I love both Indians and Harleys, but couldn't dig the video

by the way, how do you feel about Victory? and or Polaris? that's who makes these. not Indian, Polaris? which Indians do you like best? the originals, the Mexico ones, the ones after that, that failed, or the Polaris? which one do you have, since you have such a strong opinion? or, have you ever ridden anything?
@leftyjones18 жыл бұрын
I ride a Chieftain and you need to educate yourself. Victory doesn't make Indian and Polaris is the parent company. You're argument is like saying that Buick makes Chevrolet's. GM is the parent company. Regardless, it doesn't matter if Polaris owns Indian since they build an excellent Indian branded motorcycle as the owner of the Indian brand. Victory? I don't care for them, but that has nothing to do with Indian.

By the way I traded the worse bike I ever owned for my Chieftain. That would be a Road Glide. That was my the third and final Harley Davidson I'll ever waste my money on. Between all the recalls and parts coming loose and falling off over the years you can have it. We won't talk about my motor having to be replaced at just 28K miles on my 2010 RK.

Bless you! Too many Harley riders can't tell the truth and I ride a Harley. But not much damn longer!

love the bike...i bought a 2015 Indian Roadmaster...decked it out with vance and Hines turn downs and a stage 2 performance cams.....was a long long time Harley fan but once i road the indians....for me i found them way more comfy and more power and love the sound.....love all bikes......but indian now has my heart...cheers all and ride safe

I've owned knucklehead, panhead, shovelhead, sportster and twin cam. I am sick of spending money on the damn things. Buying a Chief this Spring.

I've been riding HD's since 1975, currently ride a 2010 Electra Glide Limited. Over the last 3 or 4 years I've ridden the 80 or so miles from Lake City Florida down to Ocala and west about 100 miles over to Tallahassee to check out the Indian motorcycles. I've stopped in at the Indian dealerships there 3 or 4 times. Not once did they ever let me test ride one of their bikes. They've told me to come back in 4 or 5 weeks for a test ride when they're have a dealer ride day. When I stopped in at Gainesville HD an air filter, some sales guy lets me test rode 3 bikes one afternoon.

I bought my 2014 Indian Chieftain from these Orlando guys 2 years ago. What an awesome ride. I have 26,000 miles on it, and no issues, except that I replaced the stock seat with a Corbin seat. I'm over 6' tall, and the Corbin seat gave me more stretch. My next bike will be an Indian again. The new Indian Springfield is beautiful, but I like my faring, stereo, computer, tire pressure monitor, and power windshield.

+John Ayres Thanks John, although I love the style, nimble handeling and natural riding position of the Springfield, in the past, whenever I wanted to take a day trip with the wife, I would rent a Chieftain and always enjoyed it.

+John Ayres you must have an IRON BUTT lol I put a corbin seat on my Vulcan and I had to take it off and sell it lol it hurt haha

Randy The Rock Actually I don't have much of a butt at all. My Chieftain has 26000 miles on it, and I love the Corbin.

I was reading a few of the comments below, I think you did a good job. I have a 13 RK and love it, the only problem which Indian addressed is the suspension. Harley lacks in the suspension department, my wife will not ride the Harley with me. We tested the Indian at a rally and she was impressed with the ride. With this model I am very tempted to trade, I will have to check it out

+John Meredith Thanks for the positive feed back about the bike and the video. it never ceases to amaze me that with the millions of videos out there, if someone dosn't like your content, they want to launch a personal attack. why not just move on to the next video. I have had an opportunity to ride many Roadkings, they are a rock solid bike. its no wonder Harley sell so many.
