I have eaten there twice before the pandemic. I thought the hash browns were very bland. I don’t know what it was. I tried salt and pepper, I tried Tabasco sauce, but they just didn’t taste right to me. Omelette house is the spot.

I loved Chuck’s when it was at their original location. It’s still good though and the portions are plentiful. On my last visit you can tell their understaffed and once again their kitchen is just not big enough for the amount of orders they are getting. Back to square 1 but at least now they’re not getting sued left and right by people in wheelchairs claiming to have “soiled themselves” due to not being able to access the restroom.

I think it was just one guy that had sphincter control issues and it's been suggested that situation was a hidden blessing in disguise as the original space wasn't as big as it is now with the addition, which would have made it more difficult to weather the storm in the old location.

They don't have any workers because they've been lazy and cheap on hiring & training. What have they been doing all this time since reopening?🤷‍♂️

@jamesballestero7580 3 жыл бұрын
@@lampshade3795 it's quite simple. If you need to attract better workers, offer better pay and work environment. If your operation cannot afford it but still needs it, it's time to rethink the business model. For instance, building that big cow pen last winter instead of spending that time & money on better recruitment and training...? 🤔
@vitorioferrinezza
@vitorioferrinezza 3 жыл бұрын
That *cow pen* is what saved them from going under. One thing I can tell you about the restaurant business is you can't please everyone. Chuck's is like any other operation trying to survive in world that has plenty of hypocrisy to go around. But like most things, it's not unlike a popularity contest and to be popular, there will always be risk of rejection. We live and die by the sword of our choices and Steve has made plenty of good choices and likewise some bad ones along the way most likely, but he's still there, stayed true to the original mission without compromise but sadly, there were some casualties. As for the super waitress, he has several. A frequently as I go, they always know how I start my meal and all the little eccentricities along the way. Their efforts to adapt have been pretty reasonable when you consider certain societal changes and diverse ordering modalities. It's easy to armchair quarterback a business, quite different to actually take the risks and do the day to day. The goal posts are always changing and the clientele often fickle and emboldened with their little handhelds. The good news is there are plenty of loyal customers that want Chuck's to continue on successfully and rough times are part of life which Chuck's has weathered before.

My wife and I grew up in Stockton and we ate here regularly and loved it. We went a few times at the new location but they really have fallen off. Would hate to see them close but if no one wants to work and the quality control isn’t there … it may be time to pack it up.
