I'm sure the service manual is referring to hours of track use, so if you use the bike in the streets is not that serious. The H2R is the same way, Kawasaki recommends rebuilding the engine every 20 hour of use, but I put over 10k street miles on mine and never had any problems.
@allrad491110 ай бұрын
Isn't the H2R not street legal? Or are you implying that you ride it on the streets anyways because no cop could catch you lul

@madbull466610 ай бұрын
Exactly, to anyone that hasn't done a full track day or raced cars/bikes before, 20h is actually quite a long time to be pinning the throttle wide open. A lot of cars would recommend similar times

Lol you have the H2, not an H2r
@franktaylor761710 ай бұрын
Back in the day. I had a RC30. The owners manual was similar. Had set-up sections for sprint and endurance racing. If I remember correctly. Engine rebuild was at 10k miles or two endurance races of a certain length. Or once a season for sprint racing. I can't remember exactly, but it was interesting it had a racing maintenance schedule. I think the valve check was twice as long as a full rebuild 😏 I think the clutch pack was only rated at 1k. It was a long time ago, hard to remember. This seems like an incredible waste of money. Of course this is what poor people say. Probably the same thing someone in a third world country would say about me spending $1500 on a one owner 90 GSX-R 1100 when I already have several bikes. I think I'd rather have a Britten for a one off track bike.

From engine to chassis this bike disappoints me. An emissions compliant KTM 1290 V2 which is based on a 20 (!!!) year old design will deliver the same power figures (180hp and 130NM, 110 NM already at 3000 RPM) as this bespoke Brough (not) Superior Turbo in race spec. In the RR Version, the Super Duke, a fully street legal motorcycle is even lighter than the AMB 001(Also 180kg but with fluids) What is the point of creating something new and special if it performs worse than what has been available for (comparably) cheap in large quantities on the market for years? There was a time when the extensive craftmanship, the complicated engineering and exotic materials resulted in a lighter, faster and overall better motorcycle. Bimota beating the Big Four, Britten defying the Ducati V-Twins... I want that but it doesn't happen. Instead there are business men who buy up old brands and sell "art" to a few rich guys..
