I would like to say I really appreciate your dedication to variety in both weapons and combos used, even if the former isn't strictly the most effective choice for the moment you decide to use it. There are plenty of Karma Run videos and a few damageless clears of NG2 and Sigma 2, and while they're impressive achievements they also depend heavily on safe, repetitive and REALLY boring to watch strategies. I can only watch so much of people edging forward before backing up to charge a UT or getting just within range to blast archers with Inferno lol

100% agree I really think more people should play this way vs. going for no damage runs etc. much more entertaining and informative even, seeing how he uses all the diff weapons is helpful

How do you earn so much essence? Did you farm the first two weapons in chapter one? I'm at this part and have sword lvl 3 and enough for 1 lvl 2 upgrade.

I've always wondered this, are certain weapons just more useful than others? Most ppl who play NG2 always use dual swords and the flails for for wolf fiends but nothing else. I always thought each weapon was fine if u knew exactly what u was doing

From what I've noticed so far: Lunar staff 90% of the time can handle all situations Enma sword is quite powerful against genshin since you can hit a full combo without him reacting Dragon sword jumping attack against volf Talons jumping attack against elizebet hits almost everytime while she can dodge most of all other weapons The scythe deletes armadillo

Finding out this NG2 "Black" is in reality a reskinned Sigma 2 was such a punch in the gut. Modern gaming is so depressing. Even though there's a better version of the game, we get the one that's easier and more "accessible" under the misleading Black moniker. Sad

You play so differently than other players I’m watching…. Breath of fresh air just whooping ass vs ult after you after ult.. great play style and I personally think it’s harder to play this way… Also, how do you have so much money considering you don’t ult as much as other people?

Does anybody know if it’s possible to get a high amount of essence without doing any UT’s? Or does it also count when u get a high combo streak. Or without chaining UT’s or whatever?

There are a few things you can do but chaining UTs is by far the best way to rack up essence, unfortunately. Finishing an enemy with an OT gives extra essence, and opening chests that contain items you already have a full inventory of converts them into essence equal to what they cost in the shop. So each extra Talisman of Rebirth for example gives you an extra 40k. I think herbs and grains will only get converted into essence if you also have full HP, otherwise they turn into blue essence.

It was a huge mistake marketing this as the definitive edition. It is 90% Sigma, 10% OG and what it really needed to be was 10% Sigma 90% OG. This game should just be OG with the added female stages, Emma's fang and Hand Cannon, instead it's just a nicer looking Sigma with dismemberment and a few of the ultra corny bosses removed. I would have even been happy if it was more 50/50. Can't really see why anyone should buy this if they own the master ninja collection. I'm not trying to be negative but all the glaring issues from Sigma are here and present, they just look nicer. Also I feel like this is missing a ton of good content like costumes, New Game + and challenge missions from OG.

Team ninja lost the original source code for OG ninja gaiden 2. So unfortunately, any remaster/remake has to rely on the Sigma 2 code as its foundation. Hence, the reason why it’s basically sigma 2 again but with a beautiful coat of paint. It looks like there is a good faith effort to reverse on some of sigma 2’s mistakes like bringing back the blood and gore, removing some of the lame boss battles like the Statue of Liberty, And allowing you to upgrade weapons with essence instead of having each shop only allowing one upgrade. With that said, I couldn’t agree more that if you already owned the remaster collection 2 black is not worth $50.

@michaelkay7999 what’s wild is I don’t even think they lost the code. From what I’ve read they fallout with Itagaki was so bad they might have straight up dumped it out of spite. If so that’s insane but it could be just a rumor. I don’t even think sigma is bad it’s just unfortunately compared to a far superior version which is the OG.

Couldn't agree more. I ran through this on my xbox one. Yes previous gen using game pass and it's definitely sigma 2 black. Rather download ngb and play that or get the OG ninja gaiden 2 on backwards compatibility. So disappointed

nah. that boss attack pattern is either the luckiest possible or modded. 1 icicle attack and ZERO piranha summons? wtf is this. I'm currently beating it on master ninja and I'm not getting this fuckn cake walk wth

@smashinstein12122 I'm pretty sure its RNG anyway, sometimes you just get lucky with the attack patterns, even on harder difficulties.
