Do you run everyday and for a particular amount of time or just do it as and when?? Such a helpful insightful video and love the meal prep as I am also vegan/plant based when it comes to food 💗
@icovetthee6 жыл бұрын
I try to run three times a week, usually on a Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday so there's a day of rest in between! I'm still using the Couch to 5k app, so I'll either be running for 20-30 minutes straight, or broken up. I like alternating short runs and longer ones.

I wonder if the people in these comments would walk up to a stranger or friend eating a vegetarian meal and say “if you’re meat free why do you wear leather! Alix has never claimed to have a vegan lifestyle, these are just vegan/plant based recipes. There are a lot of ways to help the animals and the environment, and eating plant based is a lot more than most people do. Any positive step in the right direction is a good thing and should be encouraged. Too often people criticise others who are taking positive steps in their life- this discourages anyone from bothering to change in the first place.
@annaw96876 жыл бұрын
JennyWas13 I agree but this is a plant based diet, being vegan is an entire lifestyle and belief so it is different. She did clarify this so it’s chill!

anna barnardwright a vegan diet is literally defined as a diet where people do not eat any animal products, so no- in terms of DIET this is a vegan diet. Just because the person eating them doesn’t happen to be vegan doesn’t mean the meals themselves aren’t vegan.
@julespearson6 жыл бұрын
Yes they probably would. A weird thing about being a vegan/vego is that other people love to question you and try and catch you out. It is odd. I've been vego for 32 years!

As a non meal prepper- can I ask if you typically have the rest of the meals cold during the week? Or will separate the falafel or baked sweet potato and heat them up again? Not sure how to make it work.

The couch to 10 K app is brilliant. I have had a personal trainer in the past but never experienced this level of fitness before. Yesterday I ran for 60 minutes for the first time in my life. 6 months ago, I couldn't even run for a minute without getting out of breath. I find K-pop really keeps my pace up.

Veganism isn't a whole different lifestyle, it simply means that you're not consuming animal products. I don't now why everyone is expecting all the vegans to be minimalists, reducing the amount of waste, not buying plastics and of course just buying fair fashion etc. That's why the vegan community, in my opinion, is kind of toxic. Some people are just focusing on veganism, because of their health or maybe they are just interested in trying vegan food.

She has said several times that she doesn't label herself as vegan, she just tried to eat a vegan diet as much as possible. She isn't claiming to be a pure vegan with all that that entails, just diet wise.
@JennyWas136 жыл бұрын
She’s not a vegan she just eats vegan/meat free.. she’s said this. From my own perspective- I eat vegetarian but I still own leather. The reason for this is that I feel there is no need to eat meat these days, we have the knowledge and accessibility for most people in first world countries to eat a healthy meat free diet. On the flip side I’ve yet to find a single faux leather item that wears or lasts anywhere near as long as real leather- for me with shoes especially, vegan leather doesn’t breathe properly and makes your feet stink. It’s so easy to eat meat free and it not be a big deal, but for me at this stage it’s simply impractical to cut out ALL animal products- it feels wasteful to me to replace faux leather shoes or bags every year when I could buy 1 leather one and have it last 5 years.
@annaw96876 жыл бұрын
Alexandra Peeters this is actually untrue! Particularly for expensive leathers and suede, they’re made from baby cows because their skin gets too tough by the time they’re old/big enough to eat!
