@@kelvinbroadnax8265 You must be a crypto baby still... but it's ok, we can help you here. There are many ways in which crypto can be centralised. One obvious way and very relevant way it the control of nodes, because nodes enforce the rules of the network. For example BNB, as a fast ETH clone is fast because there are only like 23 nodes, all controlled by Binance. So as long as you trust Binance, or are only in to make some money during a bull etc that may be ok for you, but it is certainly not decentralised. On the other hand BTC is very decentralised from a node point of view, everybody can run one and it is free, and there are thousands, which is more than 23 ;) Kaspa is the same, a node can run on a 100 dollar laptop, or even a Raspberry Pi, or a phone, there are thousands. Now with ICP, not just every random clown can run a node, just like SOL, where a node costs like 15-20K bucks... I do not know the actual cost for ICP, but it is non-trivial. probably about the same in the thousands, and so you can check the ICP node map, there are a few in the US and Europe chiefly, and that is that. So ICP is not decentralised from that angle. And as a POS project, you only need a 30%+ control for an attack, unlike POW. Now ICP is also highly centralised because people are lazy and in order to get their stacking rewards, they follow one of the 2-3 stakers where you can be sure to catch all the votes, because only then you get rewards, so in practice, you will be following Dfinity Foundation, as I do myself... so if most of the decision making power lies with 1-2 stakers, it is highly centralised from that perspective. It is also highly centralised from an absolute holder perspective. So don't be over-confident, ok..? Pleasure to help. Yes, ICP is highly centralised in many ways, only I do not care. But denying it only means you do not understand the project, and how blockchains work in general.
