I'm not sure how accurate the ambient outside temperature has to be for your work but I have experienced rather inaccurate reported temperatures from the cell phones etc. vs. a thermometer sitting in the same area. Several months went by last year and our location temps displayed by cell phone/internet were off by 11 degrees and other times off by 8 degrees when compared to our glass tube thermometer in the shade. Tried to get the weather PEOPLE to check into that and all they did was use us to do things on our end vs. report correct temps on their end. I know this much, the more people involved, the more the cluster. The less people involved, the less a cluster forms. Maybe something for you to test on your own when outside and depending on the outdoor temps...see what your own thermometer says if accuracy makes any difference.

The suction pressure went up, but it's still clogged. I may have to go back and replace the entire orifice assembly if they approve the repairs.

How did you know you had to do with the heck you were doing? I mean, how did you know the problem was right there? This is the first video I’ve ever seen someone doing that.

Clogged orifices. Same symptoms of a restricted txv or piston

I have no idea why Carrier does that multiple orifices.I think Trane did the same thing. This is where it used to piss me off. You warn the customer this unit is on it's last legs and then all of a sudden it's an emergency service call. The only bright side is you can make good money repairing old equipment, but it come to the point where it's like gift wrapping garbage. Nice work. Keep cool
