You have never heard about TEG because it was recognized as a valid method by FDA, although it was discovered in the 1940's. Option 1: it's a brilliant technique that nobody recognized as brilliant for, hm, 70 years? Option 2: this is overengineered, absurdly complex method that cannot work.

Omg! Thank u for going in depth with this TEG. I always encounter this when CVT surgeons ask for this prior to heart surgery. We don't do this test in our hospital and replace it with another test. I am learning so much in your videos!

Oh Dear, Today I was night duty and all what I was thinking of is you and TEG and really how important it is. We had that DIC patient ,in which Doctor took the decision to administer tranixemic acid regularily. I tried to discuss and explain but he shut me off. I hope she will make it without perminent disability :( .

Both! At least where I am, in the OR they have a machine to be able to run right there. In our units, we send the specimen off to lab to be run.
