Using ROTEM and TEG in Trauma

Diagnosing Coagulopathy in Trauma: The Role of TEG and ROTEM Made Simple was presented by Sandro Rizoli, MD, on November 2, 2012, at the annual Southwest Trauma & Acute Care Symposium. TEG and ROTEM testing are incredibly useful tests intraoperatively when testing for coagulopathy. They do have limitations, such as their inability to test for mechanical bleed. In order to resuscitate the patient, you must deal with coagulopathy, and these tests improve your ability to understand what the problem actually is. Watch to find out more!
