Kent are great for mashing but if you want the best type for baked pumpkin then plant Queensland Blue variety.

For how much time a ripe pumpkin can be stored? I had one that went a full 12 months and some more but ended up being flavorless.

Typically I would not store for more than a few months. But it does depend on the climate you live in - in cooler climates you can definitely store them longer. Hope this helps 😃
