I happened to have my spring drive Grand Seiko stainless steel diver (SBGA229 with the 9R65) movement on when I viewed your video. This reference has been succeeded by the SBGA461 which is still only $6,100 at full retail at US GS boutiques. I accept that you are a traditionalist when it comes to movements but the GS spring drive divers are terribly underrated which is strange because GS references generally are often among the most overrated watches in all of horology. As a sport watch, my GS is just perfect and the accuracy is surreal for what is still a mainspring powered movement (I respect and understand your disagreements with this view). I find the GS to be the perfect all around 24/7 sport watch in a way that my other sport watches (an Omega Mark II Speedmaster 2014 reissue with a co-axial movement, a Bulgari Octo Velocissimo and a Panerai Radiomir with an 8 day power reserve) are not. I understand every criticism of this GS dive reference and find them to be watch community “me too” crowd chatter from persons who have largely never worn these GS references and therefore rely mostly on reviews. Like your VC Overseas, the perfect mid luxury sport watch is a reference that is so well suited to satisfying a broad range of daily horological needs that by unconscious default it ends up being worn much more often than other excellent references in one’s watchbox.

“This watch looks nice. Should I get it? Oh that’s quite the price. If I’m getting one, I better get one that’s more versatile to wear at various occasions. This watch is way too nice. I need one that’s an everyday one. Well, now that I have an everyday watch, I should get a proper dress watch. Oh I could’ve used that complication when I went to that occasion. I’ve got this one with this complication, but with all these complications, I never thought about one that I would actually use the most. Okay, great. I’ve got that one with the complication and I love using it. Man, I’ve never seen that one. That looks dressier than the one with the same complication. What do you mean I’m late on my rent?

@@HaIsKuL ah watch regrets. I do regret selling the Aqua terra. I needed the money to be honest. Now only have a G shock and an old dress watch. Some day will get something special

So, after an early morning start involving kids football (AFL, so ʀᴇᴀʟ football 😊) I settled in and watched most of the show - though not live. I intended on sending in some shots of my new purchase - would've fitted the theme well. Anyway. Great show this week. I enjoyed contributing to the comments - even though I was alone! Looking forward to the French Mil. upload. Possibly my favourite 'sub-genre'. How good is Watchistry btw.? Thank-you for your efforts man.

You are talking about one watch but showing another one. Confusing.

Because of what I call the corvette condition. At 14,15 everyone wants a car so badly and any car will do. Just give me freedom of movement! Then as soon as their ass hits the seat of their new car they immediately want a Camaro. And life will not be good nor right until they get it.... And inevitably that will one day happen. They WILL get that Camaro, then they do. And the moment their ass hits the seat in it, they want a new Corvette...

But...you never get a watch, you only swipe pix off the internet and talk. Picture collector not a watch collector.
