This makes me want to play FFIV again. Sad it’s not one of the really popular FF. Nobody really talks about it. It’s one of my favorites by far because there is so much memorable characters and angst. So much romance, redemption, unrequited love, parental love and loss. Amazing epic high fantasy with magical locations. I mean you fly to the freaking moon!

@@Maria_Erias Baconpancakes is right unfortunately. IV has been my favorite ever since I played it on GBA and I played it well after most of the later ones. Most of the discussion centers around VII, VI, IX and Tactics Ogre. Whenever people stand up for IV on most threads they are bashed and their opinion beaten down because fans are unable to look past their rose colored nostalgia for VI and VII mostly but objectively speaking Cecil's redemption arc and the journey he embarks on with the memorable cast is better than most entries' storylines. People have even mentioned Cecil is bland and the game is uninspired on some videos and threads🤦‍♂

Those of us who know, know. For older gamers like me in the west, this was the first FF on SNES, and it was a big deal. It was many of our first interactions with a "modern" JRPG. For me, there's something special about this game that made it more memorable, even though objectively, FF6 is a better game overall.

Thanks for the translation! Even though this song is probably meant for Rosa and Cecil (both this and the original Theme of Love), I can't help but feel that the lyrics somehow emphasized Kain's love for Rosa more. Just seeing the line "I muttered your name inside my heart, although my feelings won't reach you there." makes me weepy and sad for Kain's plight..

This is my favorite Final Fantasy because the every character has a true archetypal-like destiny that's followed through completely to the end. One good example: The twin mages, Palom and Porom. Two very strong characters.

It's really awesome to the die-hard fans of the older Final Fantasy games. I completed FF4 a few years ago on ps1, and then replayed it on GBA. Although I'm annoyed that they remade it AGAIN, I'm also really grateful, as we get a brilliant 3d rendition of the characters and the game's settings.
