Your oil finishing techniques always take your builds to the next level, no matter how simple the core model is. Watching your videos actually encouraged me to add oils to my paint collection. Pleasing to see, as always!

Thanks, David. I started watching this video thinking "This is no use to me, I'll never make a wooden plane", and then towards the end you did the panel darkening and I thought "That would work great on an F-14 or Su-27".

Using hairdryer for Mr. Softer makes a magic! As it gets warm, the decal will be very soft, and with the help of the airblow, you can set the decal onto extremely irregular objects.

Fabulous... thank you. Suggestion though, in the video you use different brushes for different things. For example, there's a point towards the end where I think you use a short-bristle brush with a bit of thinner on it as a blender, maybe? It would help to add a subtitle to tell us what each brush is doing. (not a criticism of any sort, your videos are super helpful just as they are, it's just a thought. I love that you're doing a Great War series, that's one of my favorite subjects... thanks!)

My favourite of all your models - by far. I would love to see you build something like the revell viking ship. Plastic ship models are really difficult to pull off well and that kit would certainly allow you to expand and experiment with this. Just ignore the horrible "sail" it comes with. Also, old tugboats make absolutely wonderful subjects - the banged up, oxidized and repainted hulls that have taken years of salt water and abuse a weathering dream! And one can add all kinds of wonderful stuff like nets, fenders, lines etc..

Aký je podla teba najlepší model pre začiatočníkov ??? Lebo ja som a neviem aký by bol najlepší
@idaemonplasmo7 жыл бұрын
Rozhodně né, žádný dvouplošník. Jestli myslíš letadla, tak asi nejaký stíhač z druhé světové v měřítku 1/72 a s jednoduchou kamofláží. Třeba P-40, P-39, F6F, zero, yak-3 atd.
@izifilip_88517 жыл бұрын
aha a niečo iné ako lietadlo ?
@idaemonplasmo7 жыл бұрын
To je jako co? Loď, tank, auto, motorka?
@izifilip_88517 жыл бұрын
tank alebo auto
@idaemonplasmo7 жыл бұрын
no, tak nejlepší asi t-34.
@bebopkirby7 жыл бұрын
You have proven that HGW decals work beautifully. But for me free hand cutting of a wet decal on a compound surface looks like a fools errand. I suppose there is a very good reason why HGW does not design the decals to actually fit the panels, so you don’t have to cut them. It would sure be one hell of a lot easier if they did. Fantastic work and most importantly very inspiring, but I think I’m going to leave that kind of decal work to the very talented few.
