Hi David, I am very thankful for your videos. You always address topics clearly and answer the questions that pop up in my head ("where did he get those blueprints?"). Also, your encouragement makes me realize that modeling is all about practice. I spend more time reading about it than building because I am intimidated and don't like making mistakes. Perhaps this is the wrong hobby! Or perhaps it is the right one as it forces me to become patient and resilient. Anyways love your videos - they always address key topics which other videos or magazine articles simply don't discuss. Thank you!

I love the look of the rivets...so I bought a few rivet wheels and rivetted a Revell Beaufighter 1/32 scale...Took a couple weeks...I lightly sanded it and it looked great until I sprayed it and lost all the rivets....Doh!...I haven't given up...I'm working on the old Revell P38 1/32 at mo and I'll be riveting without the light sand this time...

aha. The bit I couldn't understand was what the overall substrate was that you were wheeling the simulated riveting into. From looking at other tutorials I think that it is sprayed primer (I assume 'primer' is the same in practice as 'surfacer') that has reached a thickness sufficient to obliterate the model's markings and thus require fresh riveting. Right?

Do you think I could apply the rivets after applyingg a lacquer base coat, or will it be to hard for the riveting tool? BTW thank for your channel, I got back into model making because of it. I used all your techniques and the results even amaze me. Not as nice as yours but above my expectations.

Another informative video David! One question: What do you do with models that have a few engraved molded rivet lines (usually on the control surfaces)? Do you prefer to match the pitch of the molded rivets, or do you fill them and replace them with your own rivet lines? For example I have a Tamiya 1/72 P-51D that has a molded rivet pitch of around 0.8-0.9 mm, while the "real" pitch from blueprints show a pitch of around 0.5-0.6 mm. What would you do when making rivets on the whole plane?

Hello, I just found your videos and they are some next level stuff for sure. I have a question for you abkut 9:55 the finished painted model shows decals on the wing saying no step in German. When i apply decals they tend to show an edge where the clear film is around the decals and it looks undealistic. Can you make or recomend a video that shows pro level decal work. Also there are sme rivits on the leading edge that are spaced far appart. I assume you used a pin or some other tool to do those individualy by hand, what did you use? Thanks again for all the hard work in making these videos that help us out here take ouf work up a level:)

At 1:34 are you using a black electrical tape or something similar? I have a Stuka, that needs to be re-scribed due to extensive body work. What do you do with the left over residue from the tape? Your thoughts would be appreciated. Btw, I must complement you on your detailed videos as they have really help out me out - being a newbie its very informative. I hope you continue to find time to do your videos. One last comment I really enjoyed your Blue Stuff video - so much, I've ordered some as well. Thanks from Canada.

Hey PLASMO, can you tell what do you do in order to scribe new panel lines in putty? I got problems with this, dealing with 1-1,5mm gap along panel line with Tamiya Putty White but when it comes to rescribe the line it goes bad and uneavenly (both, wide-wise and depth-wise) even despite scribing along the tape.
