Yes,Miller is only 18 and he is physically developed & excellent on the ball,its a bit unfair to gauge him against our midfield as its by far the best in Scotland but in my opinion Miller is the best player outside Celtic in Scotland & we should buy him while we can before he ends up in Europe or England & above our price range.

Think the ship may have sailed with miller . He was with us we let him go . He is a talent that the eyes of Europe will be monitoring closely . My bet would be the premiership or Italy . If we have a chance would probably have to be January. I would presume Motherwell would want at least 6 or 7 mil and not sure we would spend that on a guy who’s just turned 18.

Scales wasn't even good at LB at Aberdeen. He's proven over the last two seasons, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that his best position is CB. Maybe he could also do a job as a LCB in a 3-5-2 type formation but that's by the by as Rodgers doesn't play with a back 3. Point is, Scales best position is CB by a mile.

Do Celtic need to buy every player. FFS give other teams a chance to enjoy the talent they bring through. That’s why the Scottish game is garbage with no depth.

Exactly. Why tf would you want to give other clubs a chance to sign the best homegrown players over your own team? Plus, at the end of the day, look at history. If Celtic dont sign the top talent in Scotland, they get whipped away down south, so other Scottish teams won't get to enjoy that talent anyway, and if you ask me, its better us than them. You took an L with that comment, mate.

Miller will be off to Germany. Not sure what his contract situation is, but his dad took him away from Celtic already. Celtic isn't really a place for a young talent. The amount of players whose careers have been damaged by coming to Celtic is all the proof needed.
@lf67hh28Күн бұрын
That would signal that they are not of the required quality. Stop blaming a club for the failings of a player.
@danduggan3335Күн бұрын
@@lf67hh28 i don't think that is true. When you look at players that were genuinely talented that disappeared in the celtic youth system. Its frightening. Infact, Scales was almost another casualty only for he went out on loan, same as christie and ayer. All of them were saved because they went on loan. While other highly regarded young talents have disappeared without trace when they stayed in Celtics system, holm is the latest casualty. Its well recognised we are not very good re youth development and nurturing. I'd be amazed if Miller took that kind of risk with his career. We need a proper loan arrangement with 2 SPFL clubs.
@lf67hh2820 сағат бұрын
@@danduggan3335 Scales isn't good enough, even now. Makes too many mistakes - and is starting to be phased back into a back up role at the club. None of the players you list were good enough at the time, Ajer was poor defensively and by all accounts - still is (as he's been dropped by his club regularly). If you're good enough you play, Tierney and Calmac being examples of this.

@@lf67hh28 I'm not looking to argue mate, but thats my point. Had Ajar and Christie stayed in the Celtic system, they would never had made it cos, as you said "none of the players were good enough at the time". Thats exactly my point, we bring in young players and the only ones who stand a chance are those that leave on loan. The vast majority of the, i think, 40-50 17s - 22 year olds brought to the club in the last 6 years have had their chances of a career completely derailed by being at Celtic.
@lf67hh2816 сағат бұрын
@@danduggan3335 No they had their career derailed by not being good enough. Tierney was good enough, he went into the starting 11 at 17 years old. Celtic have the best youth setup in Scotland. @@Mantis_Toboggan_MD. Not really, Dundee are a lot better off with McCowan for instance than the £1m they got for him aren't they? Celtic fans continuously moan that the level of competition is so bad in Scotland when they go up against better teams in Europe, yet they never acknowledge they play a part in keeping it down. Bain, Cifti, Christie, Turnbull, Mackay Steven, Hayes, Robson, Flood etc didn't really add much to Celtic, but it really harmed the teams they left.

@sandersson2813Күн бұрын
@@lf67hh28 Why did they accept them? They can't afford not to. Scottish football is set up to reward the biggest teams and keep them on top and keep other teams as minnows. He only played 42 times for Celtic in three years, so didn't even play a third of the games Celtic played. He played 145 times by comparison for United in 5 seasons, far more of what you can call a mainstay.
