Providing Norwich don’t start quoting funny money Idah is a no brainer really so much to like he’s not just a big bruiser he has everything to his game and huge potential. Bernardo for me is also a no brainer I think this boy could go on to become a real player and if we don’t sign him think we may all be regretting it down the line . He still young and has growth and think we all expect way too much too soon when young guys come to the club . Some of the best players I’ve seen in a Celtic shirt have taken a season to settle ..Gives real balance to the midfield, disciplined, closes down space brilliantly and is a goal threat . Hatate can be superb when going forward but when he’s bad he’s bad gives the ball away far too often and dosent provide the closing down required of an 8 . In Europe that will be a killer .

It was a pretty poor match over all. Clement picked a more energetic midfield than previously and this gradually created difficulties for Celtic, who looked quite tired in the second half. Scales, Davies and Raskin - all guilty. Carter- Vickers immense. Great driving contribution and swerving shot by Bernardo with rebound finished clinically by Idah. Impossible for Idah to comment on any potential transfer at that point. Not sure a £6m bid will necessarily be enough to prise him away from his Norwich contract.

Rangers have now adopted the mindset of the underdog in all of these matches, talking about "Moral victories" after drawing 3-3 at home etc... and now claiming they dominated on Saturday. Any game in which they do not get absolutely pumped by Celtic is now seen by them as cause for optimism. The reality is that Saturday's game was a very tight affair settled by the odd goal. Ths has almost always been the case throughout the history of the Scottish Cup. The last time the Scottish Cup final was won by 2+ goals in a Celtic vs Rangers (either version) match was in 1969 when Celtic won 4-0. The last time rangers won it by 2 or more was in 1963 when they won 3-0 but even that was a replay after an initial 1-1 draw. These games are almost always tight, nervy games but if rangers and their cheerleaders in the media think this is some sort of progress then let them crack on

Idah will sign for between 3.9 and 4.2 million with a 10% clause...is my educated guess. He should be our first pick striker going forward.
