Ann Rule wrote in her book "The Stranger Beside Me" that Ted Bundy was a nice guy who worked beside her as a telephone counselor in Seattle. She was floored when she realized that it was THAT Ted the police were looking for. It just goes to show that you really don't know someone like you think you do. 🤷🏼‍♀️

As to the victims he chose : these were 3 very attractive, fun- loving , happy young women who fit into society. They might have represented the women who would not have been interested in him, perhaps even the girls who had bullied him in elementary school. They loved life & other people - unlike him- and these very attributes might have made them his hated targets.

I agree… I believe the young man murdered was just “in the wrong place at the wrong time”. These young women are beautiful and it does make sense that he could have had a deep resentment against women in general as he has been rejected numerous times and “bullied”. It seems random and not random at the same time. Usually it’s a psychotic ex or something as a stabbing is obviously VERY personal. In this case I believe these were innocent women targeted just because of what they represented to him… like a perfect storm came together inside him. My ❤ goes out to all the victims and their loved ones.

Why do you think he was the same person he was in 2001? Things happen in life that changes or make people do bad things. You or anyone here is immune to the same fate. It is naive to think only some people are capable of evil. No child is born wanting to be a serial killer. Everyone has the potential for evil, no matter how innocent you think you are.

I was a senior and we were gonna meet at my house one day and then I got this terrible feeling and cancelled. A week later his face was all over the news. He had attempted to kidnap and assault multiple women, succeeding in one attempt. He ended up escaping from custody and there was manhunt all over the city. I remember feeling so disgusted and confused. When I look back he had all the signs of a sociopath but I was completely blinded by his charm. It’s a very eerie feeling when the truth comes out about someone you know in this way

I had this theory at first myself but as some evidence has come out I no longer believe this. He made far to many mistakes for someone with his knowledge if he were just trying to see if he could do it for that reason. First and foremost,.leaving behind the knife sheath. Even if there had been no DNA on it to trace it is solid evidence that could possibly be traced to manufacturers, selling companies, and purchaser if credit or bank card used. Secondly, having his cell phone with him up to 12 times as he was in the area of the murder scene and while he turned it off on the specific hours during the crime he returned afterward with his phone on as he drove passed the crime scene. He would have been smart enough (you would think) to not have his phone with him any time he was near that house. Not just turned off during the commission of the crime. Another mistake is traveling there in his own vehicle. To many mistakes for someone with his knowledge. That puzzles me. Maybe his hate and rage took over his thought process. I'm sure the police have more evidence, I just wonder if they have any idea of motive.

The burden of proof in the legal system is on the prosecution, but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the general public viewing someone as guilty when evidence overwhelmingly points to it. His DNA was on the knife sheath and CCTV footage caught him in the area at the time, apparently almost returning to the scene when he realized he left the knife sheath. Of course, it's good to be open to the remote chance that he's been framed, but that seems very unlikely.

However our friends or those much closer to us/him knew his true colours. It was impossible for him to keep up his facade the whole time. I mean I fell for it at the beginning, even living with him being with him 24/7, it took me months nearly years to realise just how bad he was, I think he tried harder to hide it from me. Another thing I've heard most all say was that he was intelligent and wanted everyone to know he was. If we go back to the Tapatalk postings, he'd been having mental problems as early back as 15-16 years old, he stated Sept 21, 2009. Him recalling that specific date, and not just a month or year, makes me believe that he may have experienced something traumatic on that date or in the couple days leading up to that date...and event that caused him a LOT of fear and anxiety, that sent him into that dark place. Now, do not get me wrong...there are NO excuses for what he did and he has to pay the price if he's guilty, but I do always wish to understand causes or what lead up to something so horrific.

Why does everyone keep saying he was overweight when in every photo the girl showed he was lean? The 2017 wedding photo had him looking the same as in the court photos, so how was he allegedly barely recognisably overweight in 2018 as the first TikToker alleged?

Re the neighbor who said that after the murders BK asked if he had heard about it and said that it “seems there are no leads” and that it “seems it was a crime of passion”, this is what MANY ppl were saying! Officials and reporters and guests and everywhere online and in everyday conversations! To suggest that this is incriminating is really stretching it, and in fact, it’s helping to foster a mob mentality that wants to burn BK at the stake without knowing all the facts and without him being found guilty. Pretty disappointed in LCN.

Oh please! I know plenty of people who take an awkward photo, refusing to smile, counting the seconds until it’s over. Some people just aren’t happy in front of a camera. If you saw half the photos in existence of me, you’d probably think I was a lunatic. I mean I get the stare, but I don’t think it’s proof someone is evil.

Lately I have become aware that most people come across as very nice but underneath are manipulative and egotistical. Those who are authentic are rare but they do exist.

Definitely. Those with tailored persona that is a little too neat are a red flag for me. Authentic people are goofy awkward and definitely have their own vibe. They have people who dislike them. Anyone who is liked by everyone (charming) is a red flag. People who are vulnerable and naturally laugh at themselves and have ther own individual passions and quirks tend to be the more genuine kind.

I watch a lot of true crime shows and when people are stabbed to death multiple times , the detectives always seem to say “it looks like a crime of passion , somebody they knew” I think if he said that , he might have been miss leading them because they are not finding a connection to him knowing them personally. Maybe he wanted to see if he could get away with it. He thinks he is smarter then he is. He’s evil !

When I was in high school there was a guy at my friend table who I ate lunch with every day. He was very clean cut, quiet and kind. Several years later I saw him in the news that he killed his three young daughters to get revenge on his ex wife. I could NOT believe it was the same person. You never know people or what may drive them to this, or maybe he snapped, who knows-I just can’t believe it, I’d have never imagined he’s grow up to do that.
