The DJI Mini 3 Pro is here! In this video of my first flight with the Mini 3, I do what I do with all new DJI drones. I send it out over the Snake River Canyon! The Mini 3 is a full featured sub 250g drone, and it doesn't disappoint. It was a great way to break in a new drone!

There he is BACK, I said when I heard from you HE'LL BE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Arnold said so. LOL Good to see you and the mini 3 as well. The first several charges strengthen the batter with each flight so it will improve greatly. I also ordered the fly more PLUS kit as you did. I like the extra power for sure. I will never use that entire battery anyway. A 20 minute flight is a long time but the extra capacity means real recording time. So I would be very happy using the high rte battery myself. You got one! and took it straight to the canyon! 👍👍👍👍👍👍 I flew mine once, I'm waiting for my fly more. When I flew it it was early in the day with no wind, that little quad was smooth and quiet. My fly more should arrive soon, the label was printed but according to the UPS tracking UPS hasn't received it so next will be to find filters.

I had an aunt who was ill. They yanked out her spline and she was fine. Her spline wasn't the problem but psychologically it's what she wanted so in her mind it cured her. I have more "Tall Tails" anytime you need them.

I got some tempered glass screen protectors for it and then bought a antiglare film screen protector and cut it to size really good to get rid of some of the glare. It is so good to see you still looking well

Great first flight with the Mini 3 Pro. The views of the canyon were beautifully captured by that amazing camera on the new Mini 3. This little really performs well in the wind, and the new DJI RC works well in the bright sunlight. Only thing troubling was your short flight time. So far I've gotten Mini 2 like flight times, with the standard battery. Good to see you back on your feet again, and doing what you love. Thanks for sharing my friend.

Marcus, I was thinking. A lot of people have sure been downing the Autel Nano, and yes it sure has had its problems. And don’t get me wrong. This Mini 3 is looking to be an excellent drone. But one thing to remember. This is the third mini DJI has put out. The Nano is Autel’s first jump into the mini market. What will Autel’s second and third mini drones look like when they come out. With Ken Booth taking over the customer service maybe and hopefully he can turn around Autel’s awful service reputation! That is if management allows him to actually do what needs to be done. Just some food for thought. Keep up the good work. Tom

You found out the hard way. No maps on RC pro unless you hotspot your phone. Vision sensors are always going to use extra powe & flight time

Marcus, I'm so happy you are up flying again! The Mini 3 over the Canyon, was missing... Waw, the footage colors are so amazing. Remember the day I first saw you flying the Mini, which convince me to try it out. Since then, I only have flown DJI drones, thanks to you! I consider myself very lucky, especially with the four critical battery incidents I had, cause always managed to recover. I discovered that the DJI message when the 1 to 10 Countdown of the Critical Battery happens, is very, very, misleading! If you click CONFIRM, the remaining 10% battery power is made available to the pilot to fly the quad back to the home point. If not clicking CONFIRM, then the remaining 10% battery is taken away and the quad starts landing automatically, and can not be aborted anymore. A month ago, I wish I knew this because I ended up landing my Air 2S on top of a 25 m. tree while being 200 m. away from the home point. After trying for a week, and having completely lost any hope of recovering it, it was finally rescued by a team of kind firefighters kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZ2qm2dprpKYmtk PS: After pressing CONFIRM it will fly OK, but when the battery gets to 5% it will start gradually reducing altitude and the sticks become stiffer but will follow the controls as long as pointed towards the home point. The clicking CONFIRM needs to be investigated further, but that is my current understanding.

Hi Marcus, that snake canyon is a stunning spot. My friend has the same issue with flight time. Nothing like 34 minutes, more like 22 in normal flight, to 24 minutes absolute maximum.

Looks like the start of a nice little drone. I wish the drone makers would get them all ready first before releasing them and not do it in updates. Hopefully there is a place in the app to change the force to land at 10%. That would be concerning as you said over water! Glad your home and your smiling self! Lol! Take care.

Nice one Marcus, good to have you back. This was the one I was waiting for! The Mini 3 at Snake River Canyon, what a location for a maiden voyage! Looking forward to your thoughts on this much talked about new-comer to the mini lineup. It's a bit of concern that this is the 2nd clip I've seen where it seems that the low battery settings aren't quite right; and the 2nd that I've seen where the pilot did return home promptly, yet didn't seem to have enough battery to get home safely. Hope DJI finetune this a little.

I agree Marcus, I hate when I'm flying and the drone wants to land at 10% when I'm flying over the lake or river, very counterintuitive trying to conserve battery, while fighting the drone to stay in the air. Great video.

@@IdahoQuadcopter Marcus, I’m feeling better, I’ve only done test flights from my porch, one regular battery and flew fir 28 minutes with various quick shots, mastershot, and free flights. The 28 minutes came after registering the drone and updating the firmware; I was surprised it flew that long.
