Im not in support of high-handedness, but many of us forget that the landlord also has responsibilities. He has school fees to pay and other family related commitments. "Ara o ro okun, ara o ro adie" If baba landlord is hungry, the out-of-job tenant can not have peace period!

All these sermons work in Nigerian societies. They do not work in the Western cultures where your apartment complex belong to a big corporation. You only deal directly with the Staff at the Rental office. I do not care if your Father is the manager at the rental office. If you fail to pay your rent, do not be surprised that your dad is the one who'll authorize your EVICTION. Not because your Dad hates you. It's because he has to comply with the rental regulations. No emotions involved.
