I used to live on a guitar. I learned to play everything by ear and by rewind play rewind play rewind play. I learned how to play all the songs on the wall album. After that I never listened to specific bands with my guitar in the same room. To learn a song removes its magic even watching the man play kind of endanger it. Music is a beautiful powerful tool. For me the songs I charrished and held close to me I left alone not to ruin the memories of it, the magic of it, and now ilas I grow older........those memories hurt and make my heart ache
@MLBPeacePlanet3 ай бұрын
So true...I have a friend who thinks musicians are magicians and he loves music so deeply and can't play anything.....but when you realise you can learn a world famous riff in 20 minutes it definitely takes from that, Nothing seems magical anymore. Prince still makes me love guitar though, Nobody can really get that feel he does.
@notmyname36813 ай бұрын
Get your point but absolutely not true for me as a guitarist. Every song keeps its magic and if anything I learn to love it more deeply. Learning stuff helps see the genius behind the notes, appreciate the individual nuances that can never be replicated. I also better appreciate the skill and hard work that have gone into creating those moments of magic.
