I found out that I had developed a heart condition because when my Apple Watch alerted me that I was in Afib. Was watching TV one night and felt my watch buzz. I looked at my watch, and saw that I was in Afib! So I was able to get it treated promptly so that my threat of stroke is reduced!

I usually never wear my watch when I sleep because that’s when I charge it. Anyway, this night I was wearing it. I got up around 2am and for some reason I fell backwards after taking a few steps. I got several bruises and hit my head very hard twice on a table beside my bed, which was terribly painful!! My husband did hear me and woke up to help me. But all of a sudden we heard a voice coming from my watch asking if we were ok and did we need an ambulance!!! My watch had contacted emergency services for me ! I never knew it would do that! We told them no but they came here anyway.. which I’m glad they did, I was kind of in shock and take blood thinners. So I didn’t really know what I was doing K

The health benefits go beyond what's directly offered. For example, the watch has no feature to detect breathing issue such as sleep apnea (which I have), but by looking at my sleep stage info as well as heart rate monitoring and respiration rate I am able to infer breathing interruptions during sleep. I agree. The timer is like the main thing for me on the watch… I use it for gym, cook and other things. I’ve been thinking to get different bands so I can feel as if I am wearing different watches. A feature I would like is… to adjust the time of the alarm ring. It is annoying the alarm doesn’t stop ringing. I’d like to ring for 20 seconds. It would be great if I can choose how long I want it to ring. Also, when I have complications on the main watch face… I want to see my heart rate, timer… in real time after the screen dims.

On July 16 almost 7 months ago at 9 PM I started feeling fluttery and I done an EKG through my series 5 and it detected atrial fibrillation which scared me and I was admitted to the hospital and stayed overnight until morning. I didn’t even sleep until 3 am after being in the ER for 4 hours and I got my blood drawn to check for cardiac enzymes. I went back to the doctor a few days later and got my blood drawn again and found out I have sleep apnea. I go back for another follow up on April 17 to see if I can qualify for a CPAP machine and I traded my series 5 for the Ultra 2 which has a longer battery life and I sleep with it on and it has the blood oxygen feature which helps. I’m currently 29 and will be 30 in 5 more months and didn’t know how the Afib got after me. My watch has saved me from a stroke!

Second problem : I was at the gym today and tried to start the fitness tracker but it just kept pausing the tracking after a few seconds. I have a lot of tattoos in my left arm where I’m using the watch and I don’t know if this is something that could trigger the sensor of the watch.

“It is always on your wrist”. So, when do you charge it? I have a Series 4 Apple Watch that can only hold a charge for 13-15 hours, and it takes 2 hours to charge. Sleep monitoring and an alarm clock in the morning is impossible unless I only use it at night. Speech-to-text works great for English, but not for my native language (Danish). The most wanted feature is battery life that lasts more than a day. The Apple Watch Ultra is supposed to last 36 hours, but it costs more than $1000, so I don’t use my Apple Watch very much anymore. I use my Garmin Forerunner, which holds a charge for weeks. Apple Watch Series 9 still only has 18 hours of battery life, so I will stick with my Garmin for now, which is a shame, because I do like the features of my Apple Watch otherwise.

it would be interesting if you would make a comparison video. For instance, a video where you compare some apple products to similar products of other brands. There are so many options besides the apple ones. Apple does provide quality and reliability, but for a certain price tag that not everyone can afford. The features that you describe as your favourite and make the apple watch a "must have" are kind of basic fitness features for every smart watch out now. Besides, it is commonly known that the fitness trackers on the apple watch are not as accurate as you might think. Some fitness trackers specifically designed for fitness are more accurate and only cost 30 dollars. The apple watch is handy and I do think that as an iPhone user you are better of with an apple watch than any other smart watch, purely because of the connectivity with your phone and how iOS and WatchOS communicate with eachother. It makes it feel more premium and comfortable. But, brands like fitbit and garmin can be alternatives to the apple watch if you are just interested in your personal health for a lower price. You just won't get the premium features and notifications from your phone and things like that. Also if i might add, the dictation on the apple watch does work really good, but that is just for the english language. Tbh I don't know what it is like for other languages but my own one. My first language isn't english and the dictation of my native language on my phone for instance and apple watches of friends is way less accurate than in your case. Just to clarify for everyone. I do love the apple watches and I'm planning on getting one too, but I do realise for the price they come at, it's not for everyone and there are other brands out there as good alternatives. The reasons you mention are not special and exclusive for the apple watch. A lot of smart watches have that. That's why I would love a comparison video so that it is more obvious why the apple watch stands out and why not. Perhaps one half of the viewers will be convinced that the apple watch is perfect for them, and the other half will be convinced that cheaper options meet their needs also. There is so much more than just apple products.
